Story
Ramona is one of those great pups (6 months) who is just so very curious and interested in what people are doing! Seriously, she always has an adorable and quizzical expression, and she's always ready for a walk, some play time, or some snacks. (Hey, aren't we all?) We believe this tri-colored girl is some sort of mix of Border Collie and Cattle Dog. She came to The Cat House on the Kings after being thrown from a moving car and getting an injured paw in the process. (She's all better now, spayed, microchipped and vaccinated, too!) She weighs about 20ish pounds (we hate to ask a woman her exact weight, after all) and we anticipate she will be a medium-sized girl when fully grown. Like all teenagery-puppies, she would benefit from some training, plenty of space, and lots of toys+playtime. More information & application [ts=1734508999&src=aap]

Story
Meet Gumdrop! Gumdrop is a Terrier/Border Collie mix that came into our care from another local animal shelter. She has only been in our care for a short amount of time, so it is difficult for us to know her true personality. However, she is still young, and is at the perfect age to start getting some training . She is good around other dogs, with cats we have not cat tested her yet, but we are always more than welcome to cat test her. If you are my furever home, come visit me at Valley Animal Center's dog adoption center. To get a head start on the adoption process, you can also fill out the online pre-adoption application! After you fill it out, a dog care associate will contact you shortly. The form is found here: https://valleyanimal.org/dog-adoption-application/

Story
Our home is quiet except for when I am home. I have 3 dogs including the one I would like to rehome and my roommate also has one. This dog is not very social though she has been brought up with other dogs her entire life. She is great with people and very friendly but extremely jealous and possessive when it comes to other dogs. This is one of my kids` dogs that they left with me and she does not get along with the other female dog (my roommates) at all, repeatedly attacking her. She also snaps at the two male dogs as she is able to. Her aggression toward the other female has been particularly challenging, and keeping her separated outside only seems to make her more reactive.Owner`s contact information:(559)779-1075eedwards@ddccpa.com

Story
Bruce Lee was born on January 9th, 2021 from his mother, a Border Collie and father, a Cattle Dog. I got him as a puppy from the farm he was born on in Lubbock, Texas. He was raised for the first two years of his life on three acres in South Texas and was able to run around and play all day with the local neighborhood dogs which helped greatly with his natural energy level. He has always been an inside dog and house trained from day one. He is going on 5 years old this January and just over 60 lbs. He is very energetic as you could imagine but is also a good listener and will match your energy if you are laying low. For his new owner, I am looking for someone who loves high energy dogs and is active so Bruce has someone to play with. He loves other dogs so adding him to a family with a dog already would be great for him.
