This gorgeous gal weighs 39 pounds and has an absolutely gorgeous coat. She is ready for a lifetime of nature hikes and adventures with her lucky forever people! If you’re ready for some fall blooms, adopt sweet Sunflower today!      Sunflower is a loving, playful, joyful gal who is as smart as she is adorable! This girl was shy at first but quickly blossomed into a fun-loving, happy dog! She is super smart and alert, always loyally following her people around. She loves her toys, eagerly learning new tricks while keeping an eye on her favorite toy. Sunflower would be a fabulous addition to an active home looking for an adventure companion. If you have a bucket list of dog-friendly activities, Sunflower is the perfect pup to bring along! Sunflower is the perfect Border Collie, she will faithfully follow her people anywhere they want to go, but she is also content to keep herself occupied when she needs to. What a dream girl! She also has a bright smile and a personality that brightens any room she enters. Sunflower also has a joyous playful bark that she lets out when her tail wags and she gets ready for a game of catch. You’ll want to spend all your time playing with her! Sunflower can’t wait to bring a lifetime of love to her new people!  Sunflower starts her morning at 8 AM with breakfast and a snuggle. She then either spends some time playing in the backyard or heads out on a walk. As her foster people get ready for the day, she plays some more with her toys and checks out the nature tv (the window). After a morning nap, she spends some more time in the yard and playing inside the house. She snoozes some more until her foster parents come home. She heads out on a sunset walk around 6 PM and then comes home for dinner. She hangs out on the couch as she unwinds from the day, loving on her people. After one last potty break, she settles in for the night at 10 PM.  Sunflower gets along with other dogs and is figuring out this whole “playtime” thing. She loves people and can befriend anyone she meets. Sunflower is well trained already, she picked up “sit”, “down”, and “stay” quickly with her foster people. She walks well on a leash and loves her walks. Sunflower is ready to find the forever home that will show her all the love she deserves. If you’re looking for your new best friend, you’ve found her with Sunflower!      Sunflower is an option for homes with prior dog owning experience. Kids in the home should be over the age of 10+.November 15, 2024, 5:23 pm

Story
Basil is an intelligent, happy-go-lucky dog who is curious about the world around him. He has bursty stamina and is always happy to go exploring out in the world. He Is super nice and sweet 98% of the time. He excels in consistent environments and will mirror the energy that you put into him. He has an innate sense of bodily autonomy and does not like to be grabbed or restricted, and will firmly tell you no if being physically forced. He is not always cuddly, but he will make it very obvious if he wants it. When he does want it, Basil loves being roughly pet and having his head and belly scratched for hours. Basil is well socialized and had consistent and extensive training using positive reinforcement and clicker training growing up. He has great house manner, super smart, potty trained, crate trained, loves agility, walk on leash nicely and can be offleashed. He enjoys hiking, city walk or just hanging out on the couch.

Story
About the dog: Basil is well socialized and had consistent and extensive training using positive reinforcement and clicker training growing up. He has great house manner, super smart, potty trained, crate trained, loves agility, walk on leash nicely and can be offleashed. He enjoys hiking, city walk or just hanging out on the couch. Good with small animals? yes Good with other dogs? Depends. He used to wanting to play with 99% of the dogs before 1.5yr, but gradually became dog selective. Now he’s still great with other dogs if they are just passing by, but it generally takes him some time(days to weeks or even months) to be familiar with the other dogs to be able to off leash together. Once he accepted the other dogs, he’s actually very forgiving and tolerant. Behavioral issue: Although very rare, Basil can show aggression when under stress or feeling conflicted. My health issues makes it really hard for us to have him, so wanted to rehome him to a more fitted home.

If you would like the first opportunity to adopt, please fill out an application to be considered.   Adoption Fee: $700   Apple Cider is a 9 month old Aussie-Bernie mix who is ready to spice up your life! Cider was rescued from the shelter by one of our volunteers. We don’t know how this handsome dude landed behind bars, but we know his journey ahead is as bright as the sun! We expect Cider to be in the 60-70 pound range as a full grown adult, as he currently weighs 53 pounds. Prepare for a “dog who is a little too big to be a lapdog but who doesn’t believe us when we tell him that!” Serve yourself a glass of the sweetest dog ever today!       Apple Cider is a goofy dude with a tail that would never stop wagging if he had one (he has a docked tail) and a smile that never leaves his face. He loves being near his people, but he makes best friends in seconds of meeting new people as well! He wins over even the most dog-skeptical humans. Apple loves his walks and is the perfect size for adventures. Whether you’re strolling through a pumpkin patch, camping under the stars, or heading to the park, Cider is ready to join you! Apple is great with other dogs and loves getting his zoomies on. However, he’s also just as content to lounge the hours away. As long as his people are in his sights, he is happy! Apple Cider is so sweet and loves affection, but is also such a happy and content guy. As long as you give him a walk he is just thrilled. Cider would thrive in a home with an active human or other dog as he has tons of energy. He’d be an amazing running buddy! He’d probably actually encourage you to hit the trails more often, and who doesn’t need a buddy boost.  Apple Cider starts his day when his foster people do, between 7 and 8 AM. He starts with breakfast and then wags his tail until he heads out on his morning walk. He loves long strolls in the hills as he greets his various furry friends. During the day, Cider hangs out around the house, always wanting to be where his people are and where the action is. In the evening, Cider gets a second walk around the neighborhood and then comes home for dinner and a treat. Meals are his favorite times of the day, this dude loves to eat! After dinner, Cider does his best to make himself a lap dog, soaking up all the cuddles and snuggles he can. Around 9 PM, he goes out for one last potty break before he settles in for the night on his dog bed.  Apple Cider gets along fabulously with dogs of all ages. He would love a playmate in his forever home whether canine or human. Cider would benefit from training as he has tons of puppy energy. He needs a home that will set boundaries and commit to a training plan with him to improve upon some of his puppy naughtiness. Cider happily embarks on his walks but needs some additional correction as he sets out. Cider is such a friendly and good boy. He will be so loved and will shower you in that love right back. You’ll never enter a room without seeing his wagging tail and his bright smile again!      Apple Cider is an option for those with prior dog experience. Interested homes should be ready for an active dog. Kids in the home should be teens or older.November 16, 2024, 3:57 pm

Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Adoption Fee: $750   Honey Baked Ham is a 3 month old Australian Shepherd mix ready to serve up cuteness at your holiday table! Honey was rescued from the shelter where she was surrendered for reasons unknown. This fluffy gal needed a hero and we swooped her up, promising a lifetime of cuddles and yummy snacks! Honey weighs 17 pounds currently, and we expect she will be a medium sized dog when she reaches her adult weight. We will be looking for homes prepared for all that comes with large breed puppyhood. Ready for the sweetest new best friend? Come on down and reserve your Honey Baked Ham for the holidays!      Honey is a playful, young bundle of energy who lights up every room she enters. She is always ready for a game of fetch or a spirited run around the house. Honey has an out of this world enthusiasm for life, and she makes your day better just by wagging her tail into it. She’s the perfect blend of energy, ready for a hike during the day but also a total sweetheart who adores cuddling up on the couch for some quality snuggle time at the end of the day. Honey thrives on attention and loves being the center of it, charming everyone with her wagging tail and bright eyes. While she’s still learning the ropes of doghood, she prances through life on her uncoordinated legs without a care in the world. She’s happiest when she has a toy in her mouth and someone to share her adventures with. We expect she will be the perfect companion for all the hikes, camping trips, kayaking adventures, or trips under the stars you have planned! This little ball of love and fun can’t wait to bounce into your life and make it so much better than you ever imagined!  Honey wakes up around 7 AM and heads to the backyard to work on her potty skills. She eats three times a day: 9 AM, 2 PM, and 7 PM, with lots of training snacks in between meals. During the day, she alternates between zooming around, getting her cuddles, and snoozing on the couch. She’s always ready to pop up and zoom after a toy if she hears a squeak, even if she’s completely zonked out. Once her foster mom finishes her workday, she soaks up all the love and cuddles she can until dinner. She has lots of snuggles on the couch as she starts to unwind from the day. After one last potty session outside, she heads into her crate at 10 PM.  Honey has lived with dogs of various ages and sizes. She would love a playful companion in her forever home but would also fly perfectly fine solo. She adores humans and can’t wait to charm her new people, but would probably be better with slightly sturdier-aged children. Interested homes should be prepared to discuss their plans for continued training and socialization to ensure she is a well-rounded adult. Ready for sweetness? Adopt Honey!       Honey is only an option for homes who have owned a dog in the last five years. Kids should be over the age of 9.November 18, 2024, 5:32 pm
