Story
Meet 1 year-old handsome Nathan! This sweet 46 pound boy came in as a stray to Oakland animal services were sadly he ran out of time and hope. With Shelter being max capacity and too many dogs a shy dog will just fall between the cracks. This sweet boy locked confidence at the shelter. He was shut down and terrified. Ever since getting into Foster he is now blossoming, happy and we know he has such a great personality. Just waiting to shine. He’s very dog friendly, both big and small and would thrive most in a home as a second dog where he had a companion and a confident leader. he loves to romp and play and is food motivated. He doesn’t appear to have any formal training and he’s only about two years young. Our best guess is that he is a border collie terrier mix is the perfect size and age for someone willing to train, commit to continued socialization and eager to see his success. he has an amazing Foster family who is working on all basic skills daily. If you’re looking for an active walking partner, he could be your buddy. To begin the adoption process, please submit an application using the link below. Our team will carefully review it to determine if you are a suitable match for the dog you are interested in. If deemed a good fit, the foster parent will reach out to schedule a meet-and-greet or seek additional information. In the event your application isn't accepted or might be a better fit for another dog, we will provide feedback and suggest alternative matches. Your application remains active for 90 days, allowing consideration for other dogs in our care. Simply email us if there is another dog you would like your application to be applied to. [Apply Now](http://form.jotform.com/underdogca/dog-adoption-application) For application forwarding requests or any specific inquiries, you can contact us at adopt@underdogca.com. Sweet Hua Juan is looking for her forever home still! She might be a border collie mix! Love her color and spots on her coat! She's opened up a lot compared to when she first arrived in the states beginning of this year. She weights about 20lbs. Walks fairly well on leash although noises on the street still scares her a bit. She does well with dogs of all sizes! She does well with ppl and kids.

Story
Loki is a happy boy, playing with friends, running about, and giving hugs! He does better being outdoors in a fenced space, he likes most dogs after an introduction and chooses his playmates, typically other males it seems (that can be situational.) He and an old male Aussie and a young Great Pyr have a love triangle, wrestling, humping and chasing each other, they are super cute and silly, he has a strong bond to his buddies, both two-legged and four!! Loki takes his time to warm up to some, and is particular about handling and restraint, not taking it well from people he doesn't know. Loki has a healthy sense of adventure and not the best recall though when he has a runabout here at the Milo Sanctuary he comes back before long. A country life is definitely in order for him! He can be affectionate and gives great hugs. Loki has had physical and other forms of trauma in his life, Loki came to us with a badly broken tail/spinal injury, he's healed and happy guy given his own freedom of movement. He deserves a chance. A country home with adults. He is fine being a predominantly outdoor dog with a buddy. He does not like a harness. Come meet him at our sanctuary!

I am in a foster home and not at the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, submit an adoption questionnaire by email. Learn more hereMeet Paloma, the one-of-a-kind deaf pup who is sure to steal your heart with her stunning blue eyes and unique combination of 5 different breeds (Australian Cattle Dog, GSG and Husky to name the main ones), as shown in her DNA test results. This girl is full of confidence and is a quick learner. She loves going for car rides and gets excited as soon as she sees her harness. Paloma is a social butterfly who adores meeting new people and soaking up all the love and attention. Paloma is already a pro at crate training and potty training and is a bundle of joy with a tail that never stops wagging. She is currently mastering leash skills and enjoys going on pack walks in a quiet neighborhood, where she can show off her playful side. Paloma loves her dog foster siblings and even though she's surrounded by four giant Northern breeds that are over 80 pounds, she is adapting well and learning how to communicate with them. Paloma is in search of a forever home with at least one other playful dog, where she can continue to grow and thrive. She will do best in a quiet area where she's got a yard to romp in, as busy places can be overwhelming for her. As a high-energy, intelligent working breed mix, Paloma requires regular exercise and mental stimulation. She is 3 years old and weighs 47 pounds. If you're looking for a special companion that will bring love and excitement to your life, Paloma is the one for you! Follow Paloma's foster journey with @the_skyline_pack on Instagram. Story
I’m moving away and can’t afford to keep him with me. I adopted MooMoo from a shelter 3 years ago. He is currently 3 years old. Looking for a family home. MooMoo prefers quieter environments as we currently live in a busier urban area. He can becomes activated when other dogs bark or rough play. He can get along with gentle, less active dogs. He prefers to be on your lap and get lots of cuddles. He likes to sniff every patch of grass on our walks and does not pull on the leash (in fact, I end up stopping for him quite often). He is housetrained, potty trained, and crate trained (if rehomed, he needs some time to adjust and learn his environment). He knows some commands: sit, down, spin, paw, stay. He is a good dog but needs a better house environment to live in. He will come with his current food, medications, (a bunch of) toys, crate, dog bowls, etc.
