Story
Bronx was adopted from the Humane Society of Silicon Valley (HSSV) on April 23, 2023. He was 11 weeks old and weighed 9.20 lbs. and presumed to be a Border Collie Mix but staff was unsure what he was mixed with. Since his adoption he has completed the required Puppy Training course provided by HSSV while also receiving continued training by his family. Bronx is potty trained, knows the basic commands (sit, stay, leave it, etc..) but could benefit from more extensive and regular training and strong leadership from pack leader or family. Bronx loves to run, fetch and socialize with other dogs and people. He has been trained to be both on and off leash and responds to commands when off leash; but keep in mind he's still a puppy and sometimes gets distracted and may need commands repeated. Bronx also can get a little over excited when it comes to meeting other dogs and people and may jump on them or at them to greet them. This is something that will need continuous work to be corrected.

Story
Marco is a very excitable young Border Collie mix who, like many adolescents, is all potential with a busy schooling schedule ahead. Enroll this young man in Family Dog 1 asap and ask a behavior consultant (free in the first 6 months after adoption) for pro tips on helping him adjust to meeting other dogs. Marco's entire focus is on his people or his person. Because he's been so bonded to his sibling and likely hasn't had a lot of interactions with other dogs he's naturally wary of the things he doesn't yet understand. He's a quick study though and came around pretty fast when getting to know a very chill and friendly female pit mix. Calmer dogs are better doggie friends for him, as are smaller dogs and dogs his size. If you have another dog and are looking to round out your household it would be a good idea if your resident dog isn't super energetic and hyper play oriented, but rather calm and accepting.Marco may not have gotten all the socializing he needs in these early months, but he's smart, adaptable and very loving. He's handsome and hard to resist, so make sure you're ready for this ride and not just falling for one of those irresistible excitable boys. Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 22 Age: 0yrs 5mths 2wks

Story
Loki is a happy boy, playing with friends, running about, and giving hugs! He does better being outdoors in a fenced space, he likes most dogs after an introduction and chooses his playmates, typically other males it seems (that can be situational.) He and an old male Aussie and a young Great Pyr have a love triangle, wrestling, humping and chasing each other, they are super cute and silly, he has a strong bond to his buddies, both two-legged and four!! Loki takes his time to warm up to some, and is particular about handling and restraint, not taking it well from people he doesn't know. Loki has a healthy sense of adventure and not the best recall though when he has a runabout here at the Milo Sanctuary he comes back before long. A country life is definitely in order for him! He can be affectionate and gives great hugs. Loki has had physical and other forms of trauma in his life, Loki came to us with a badly broken tail/spinal injury, he's healed and happy guy given his own freedom of movement. He deserves a chance. A country home with adults. He is fine being a predominantly outdoor dog with a buddy. He does not like a harness. Come meet him at our sanctuary!

Story
Trixter is a good solid dog who looks to you for direction. He craves attention and affection. He is dog selective (gets along with some, but not all, dogs) and interacts well with people once he gets to know them. Trixter has "Stranger Danger" with many (but not all) people at first. But with a little time and treats, he is a lover. He would love to go hiking or running, and has good recall. He will require an experienced dog owner without children. He is a true "diamond in the rough." With the time and love he deserves, he will be your best friend.

Story
Since Obsidian has been at The Milo Foundation Sanctuary he has been able to learn some manners. He still shows sighs of being shy and nervous around strangers, but once he knows he can trust you Obsidian is a sweet loving boy. He does need to learn more manners along with some structure. Obsidian needs someone who will have time to spend with him and teach him. He would so best in a home with no children. Please call us at 707-459-4900 if you would like to know more or set up an appointment to meet Obsidian.
