Story
Mila is a beautiful Border Collie mix born in April 2021 and weighing 49 lbs. She has a calm, affectionate temperament with a playful side that comes out when it’s time for fun. Mila is smart, cuddly, and happiest when she’s near her people. She has an amazing ability to sense emotions—when you’re sad, she’ll gently offer her paw or curl up beside you; when you need space, she respectfully gives it. Mila’s energy level is wonderfully balanced. She can lounge on the couch or in bed all day, but she also loves fetch, tug-of-war, walks, bike rides, car rides, water play, and window watching. She does well with people, dogs, and other animals, and while she may bark when seeing others from inside the house or yard, she is friendly and playful once she meets them. Mila is house-trained, leash and off-leash trained, crate-trained, alert trained, and knows basic commands. Gentle and respectful, she only jumps when invited and would thrive in a home that values connection and companionship.

Story
Meet Beefy, a playful, affectionate puppy with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Beefy earned his name as a chonky pup, and while he’s grown into a lean, energetic pup, he’s kept his goofy charm. He loves running around the yard, chewing his toys, playing with other dogs, and curling up in my lap at night for snuggles once he’s tired out. He’s learned a few basic commands, is kennel trained, great with other dogs, gentle with kids, and does well around cats. Beefy was born after his mama was abandoned during a large brush fire and found safety at my home. Thanks to love and stability, he’s grown into a confident, social puppy. Like all young pups, he’s still learning — he’s not housebroken yet and will need patience, consistency, and an active home ready for puppy energy. Beefy’s one sibling is also looking for a home and would love to be considered (happy to share more info). My hope is to find loving, committed families where each can thrive.

Story
This pet is part of the rehoming program and is not in the care of the CCSPCA. Please read carefully and reach out to the owner directly via cell: 925-809-5537 or email:victoriajett20@gmail.com. The owner states, “ I am a new mom who’s been uprooted from an alcoholic relationship. I have to stay with family for awhile and restart life. My dog is about 11 years old. He’s a border collie mix. He can be hyper but he also loves to lay around. He’s never bitten anyone or any dog. He will surrender if another dog comes at him. He loves squeaky toys. He doesn’t play with other dogs but doesn’t mind having them around. He’s vocal, he growls when he’s playing and happy. But he is absolutely not mean. He does a happy dance when it’s dinner time. He knows a lot of tricks. He’s very smart and listens well. Our home is mostly quiet. Other dogs on the other side of the fence and he doesn’t care. He’s a people lover. ” Due to the pet not being in our care, it is out of our control when and if the owner responds to your inquiry. Thank you.

Story
Groot is a big happy dog. E have to move and don't have room for a larch dog. He is really hyper and scares easily. He would be best with a large area to run around. He is bonded with his sister - Rocket. Ideally would like to rehome them together but will separate if need be. Rocket has separate profile.

Story
We saved Freddy from being taken to a shelter as a 10 week old puppy. He is very smart and knows sit, shake, and lay down. He is kind, but he requires more energy we can prove with two children ages 2 and 4. My husband also works out of town quite often so we just do not have the time for him.
