Story
Bluey is a male Border Collie type mix. He is approximately 2 years old, and currently weighs 45 lbs. He was brought to our shelter on 12/22/24 after being found in Dublin. He hasn't been reclaimed by his previous person, so he's now looking for a new home! He has been vaccinated, and will be spayed and micro-chipped before going to his new home. Bluey is trying very hard to be brave, but he tends to be a bit shy in new environments and may do best in a quieter home with a dog experienced person who can help him continue to gain confidence! His adoption fee is $35, plus licensing (if applicable). The cost of his neuter will be sponsored!

Story
Meet 1 year-old handsome Nathan! This sweet 46 pound boy came in as a stray to Oakland animal services were sadly he ran out of time and hope. With Shelter being max capacity and too many dogs a shy dog will just fall between the cracks. This sweet boy locked confidence at the shelter. He was shut down and terrified. Ever since getting into Foster he is now blossoming, happy and we know he has such a great personality. Just waiting to shine. He’s very dog friendly, both big and small and would thrive most in a home as a second dog where he had a companion and a confident leader. he loves to romp and play and is food motivated. He doesn’t appear to have any formal training and he’s only about two years young. Our best guess is that he is a border collie terrier mix is the perfect size and age for someone willing to train, commit to continued socialization and eager to see his success. he has an amazing Foster family who is working on all basic skills daily. If you’re looking for an active walking partner, he could be your buddy. To begin the adoption process, please submit an application using the link below. Our team will carefully review it to determine if you are a suitable match for the dog you are interested in. If deemed a good fit, the foster parent will reach out to schedule a meet-and-greet or seek additional information. In the event your application isn't accepted or might be a better fit for another dog, we will provide feedback and suggest alternative matches. Your application remains active for 90 days, allowing consideration for other dogs in our care. Simply email us if there is another dog you would like your application to be applied to. Story
Orzo is a 6 to 8 month old border collie rescued from a hoarding situation and living outside. He is very shy and needs some help with socialization. He would probably do better with another dog in the home or lots of doggy friends to give him confidence. He will definitely need some time to decompress and adjust in a new home. Orzo is fixed and fully vaccinated. If you're interested in meeting him please fill out an application ozziespoundpuppies.org
