Norman is about 4 years old and 60 lbs. As a pup he was bounced from place to place. He was put into bad situations where he ended up fighting with another dog. But all of that is far behind him now. Since arriving at The Little Red Dog, he has shown us that he is playful, goofy and loving. He loves people (sometimes he needs a minute to warm up). He would do best as the only dog in the home. Although he prefers humans over canines, he is not reactive to other dogs while walking on his leash. Norman loves to run and play and would love a warm bed to sleep in. He had chronic ear infections and as a result one of his ear canals was removed. He hasn’t had an issue since! And as a bonus he now has the most adorable head tilt.November 4, 2024, 8:32 pm

We’re heartbroken to rehome our sweet 8 months old Border Collie. He has an incredible amount of energy that we simply don’t have the time and space in our home to manage. He barks when he sees people or dogs but is super friendly once he’s up close. We’ve worked with a couple of trainers, but unfortunately, we don’t have the time or resources to continue. He needs a new home with someone experienced in working with high-energy dogs, ideally someone familiar with behavioral challenges. Aside from his outdoor behavior, he’s the sweetest, most affectionate dog indoors. He learns commands quickly, is crate trained, and uses a pee pad (holder inc). He’s super smart, playful, and full of love. He just needs a large yard and a dedicated owner who can help him burn off his energy, address his barking behavior issue, and give him the life he deserves. If you’re experienced and ready to give him the time he needs, please reach out. Adoption fee can be reduced if you are the perfect fit for him.

Meet Adoptable Lola! She’s a very affectionate and happy 3 year old Australian Shepherd/Sheepdog mix, around 80 lbs. She’s potty trained, and loves her crate. She has had some professional basic training. She is ecollar, muzzle, and prong collar trained. All these tools come with her to continue her push-button training. She knows sit, down, heel, leave it, wait, out, come, no, and crates on command. She also waits for the release command to eat. The guardian breeds in her makes her an amazing watch dog. She’s well behaved, and obedient. She loves to hike in the hills, and on the trail she has excellent off-leash recall. She also knows wait (and will stop and wait for you to catch up). She knows out (and will get out of the bushes in case of snakes). She’s great in the car for long periods on road trips, and the perfect camping/exploring partner. Lola loves fetch, as well as playing with her toys, although tug is her very favorite type of play (if you’re strong enough). Lola was attacked by an off leash dog, so she has leash reactivity/fear of unknown dogs. She is working hard to overcome her fears, and needs an experienced adopter to continue her training back to neutral/non-reactivity.
