Story
Boomer is a sweet dog with a lot of energy. He loves being petted and going for walks. He does not do well with farm animals (goats, horses, chickens) as he has an innate sense to herd them- without the proper training a herding dog would need. He would be great for a family or with anyone who will love on him or have the time to take him out to burn off energy.

Story
Butte Humane Society is seeking compassionate individuals or families willing to open their homes and hearts to these survivors. Each dog has a beautiful testimony and a lot of love to give. Adopting a fire survivor dog is not just about giving them a home; it's about giving them a second chance at life. These dogs have shown incredible resilience and courage, and they have so much love to offer in return. Our staff has been caring for them and each dog has impacted our hearts. We look forward to who they choose as their forever home. All animals adopted from Butte Humane Society are evaluated by a veterinarian, spayed or neutered, provided with vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, and have received heartworm, flea/tick preventatives prior to adoption. If adoption isn’t an option right now, please consider helping us with the costs of care. We are accepting donations of food, supplies, and funds to support the care of these dogs during this transition period. Donations can be made in person at our facility or online at Buttehumane.org/donate. We also welcome you to join Butte Humane Society as a volunteer or foster parent. More information can be found at Buttehumane.org.

Story
Meet Vladimir! Vladimir, and his family, were all surrendered to Wags and Whiskers, when their home was cited by Animal Control, for having far too many dogs. When Vladimir came to us, nearly every inch of his emaciated body was covered in ticks. Immediately upon receiving them, Vladimir and his family were treated for their tick infestation, and started on medication and high protein diets, to get them healthy and adoptable. After all these hardships, Vladimir is still the absolute sweetest boy, and wants nothing more than to be by your side, and please you. If you are looking for a highly trainable, highly motivated pup, look no farther, and apply to meet Vladimir today!   Apply to adopt by clicking on the link below http://www.wagsandwhiskerspetrescue.com/adopt.html Thank you so much for looking into wags and whiskers for your next family member. All of our pets are up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm tested if over 6 months old and will be spayed or neutered before being allowed to go home.  Unfortunately, we don't always know the background of each dog. Some were dumped, abandoned in an empty house, left tied to a tree, picked up by animal control as strays, or simply unwanted by their owners. Please take into consideration that owning a pet is a 10+ year commitment and discuss with all members of your family before submitting an application to adopt.  If you have already filled out an online adoption application with our organization in the last 6 months you do not need to fill out another application. Please call or email us to schedule an appointment.  530-895-8888 If you are interested in meeting this pet please apply to adopt at http://www.wagsandwhiskerspetrescue.com/adopt.html if the pet is still available for adoption and you are approved to adopt we will contact you to set up a meet and greet appointment.    November 11, 2024, 4:34 pm
