Story
Watson is a 10 month old neutered male border collie mix weighing 40lbs. He was one from a group of pups that were abandoned by an airport and left completely starving/emaciated. He’s healed up and turned into a thriving, happy, and social dog! He is doing well with housebreaking and crate training but still needs to build some confidence and life skills, but he loves other dogs and people and would do really great in a home with another dog! He does seem to be deaf but is very responsive to routine, hand signals, wants to please, and is a quick learner.  Please contact Diana at (510) 333-4420 or theperfectdogrescue@gmail.com or fill out the adoption application:  http://www.theperfectdog.org/TPDadoptapp.doc September 6, 2024, 7:02 pm

He’s healed up and turned into a thriving, happy, and social dog! He is doing well with housebreaking and crate training but still needs to build some confidence and life skills, but he absolutely loves other dogs and people and would do really great in a home with another dog! He is deaf but is very responsive to routine, hand signals, wants to please, and is a quick learner, and fun fact: deaf dogs are easier to train than hearing dogs! Story
Georgie is an amazing 8 month old border collie. His past before the hayward animal shelter is unknown, but in just a few weeks he's quickly picking up crate training, potty training, and basic manners (sit, down, stay, wait, okay, spin). He's incredibly energetic, and loves loves loves people, running around in the grass, and playing with other puppies and dogs. 🐾 So far, he appears to love all people, often scooting his butt closer to you with his puppy eyes looking for pets. In his excitement, he likes to jump up to greet, something he's learning to transition to a sit instead. After some play (he loves chasing balls and playing with tug toys), he'll plop by your feet and roll on his back, asking for belly rubs 🐶 He'll definitely do best with a household that is able to give him ample human attention, and able to handle his herding-breed energy, like wanting to explore everywhere outside, and zoomies in the grass. In return, he'll give all his love! 🤍

Story
Looking for a new home for this cute puppy. Summer is 3years old. July 22nd, 2021 is her birthday. Due to our living conditions change a lot, and family member’s allergies getting worse. We decided to rehome her. She is a pure breed border collie. Before you decide to adopt her, please keep those things in mind: 1. You have to walk her at least two times per day. 30 mins per walk. 2. You have to know how to deal with border collie’s herding instincts. 3. She is a very sensitive dog, scares of all kinds of noises, such as traffic, garbage bags, big trucks, etc. 4. Please love her. 5. Farm owners are welcome. Or house owners who have big backyard.
