Story
Here is some information to help find the perfect Furever Home for Buck: Age: ~13/14 months (as of 9/15/24) Weight: 30-35 lbs DNA Results: 46% Border Collie (energy) 25% Cattle Dog (herding instinct) 8% Chihuahua (small dog,not likely to grow anymore) 7% Australian Shepherd Buck is: 1) Kennel trained: sleeps in a kennel. Has slept outside of a kennel, on a dog bed, when other dogs are around. 2) House trained: and knows how to use a doggie door 3) Leash trained/martingale collar: he's still learning but has steadily improved to 80% leash trained. 4) Knows basic commands: wait, sit, down, get the ball, drop the ball, stay. 5) Great in the car (with his harness and seat belt clip) 6) Perfect for an Adult only home; no small/young kids. He would be truly happy with a single adult or couple who like to run. Buck has a strong herding instinct. He needs a job. He would be so happy on a farm, ranch setting where he could run all day--Ontario, Temecula, Murrietta areas? He really enjoys the company of other dogs (No info on cats). He's been with both small and huge dogs. He is very happy with 1 or more dogs in the home, which also gives him a lot of activity. He loves walks and ball & frisbee play. He would be perfect for an adult who'd enjoy an agility dog, for competition: He is very smart and figures puzzle games and ball games out quickly. He runs and jumps in the air for balls, frisbees. ================================================= Do NOT call to ask if this puppy is available for adoption. If this listing is still posted then we are still accepting applications. Please read the narrative in its entirety. Please note our adoption procedures are explained in GREAT DETAIL BELOW. READ, READ, READ. Thank You. . . . . The best match will be selected and contacted to confirm an appointment at Petsmart in Yorba Linda on Saturday between noon and 3 pm or on a mutually agreeable day, time and place. We do not do out-of-state adoptions for puppies and we cannot hold puppies; please submit your application when you are ready to adopt. If you are interested in meeting any Poochmatch dog, please visit our website to complete an adoption application. It is in the ADOPTION folder at the top of our home page. Just fill in the blanks and SEND. The adoption fees cover the mandatory and non-negotiable spay/neuter, rabies, microchip, microchip registration, core vaccinations including rabies and 4 sets of distemper/parvo and deworming. Adoption fees vary based on age, breed, size and the costs incurred on the dog's behalf by us i.e. medical, behavioral training, etc. Puppies are not house-trained although they may have begun crate-training and/or potty pad training in their foster home, depending on their age. House-training is a process that will need to be completed by their adopter. Puppies, if left unsupervised and not redirected will develop negative behaviors such as using the restroom in the wrong place, chewing, barking, whining, etc. Please be sure to do research on raising a puppy and be sure that you are prepared to do so. This is a great article from 3LostDogs that explains the trials and tribulations of puppyhood: http://3lostdogs.com/things-wish-everyone-knew-before-they-get-dog-2/

Story
Brewski’s previous owner was hospitalized and could no longer care for this sweet guy so AALOC took him in. This young Border Collie mix is very playful and loving and gets along great with other dogs. Brewski is a medium-size dog, weighing in at about 45 pounds. According to the American Kennel Club the Border Collie are amazing dogs. They are particularly energetic, athletic, and playful and are known for being workaholics. Although a Border Collie will enjoy cuddle time, it is only after they have spent their energy with walks, play and training. In the canine world, Border Collies are among the most agile, balanced, and durable breeds. They are usually very good at agility training and giving a Border Collie a job is important to their happiness. Border Collies are also known for their intense ‘herding eye’ gaze and their almond-shaped eyes. Please apply to adopt Brewski at www.AALOC.org. Once your application is reviewed and approved we will contact you to make an appointment to visit us at AALOC to meet Brewski and get to know him a bit. Donation of $165 for dog adoption includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, and a microchip. Applications require a veterinary reference and home visit (in Orange County, CA). For more information on adoption policies visit our dog adoption page at www.aaloc.org. Contact us by e-mail at aaloc@aaloc.org or by phone (714) 893-4393.

Story
Snoop is 1/2 border collie, 1/2 Doberman pincher. He is fully house trained and incredibly well behaved. Snoop is a highly intelligent dog and is great for emotional support. He is very beneficial for someone who needs a companion and he also loves and need someone around. Snoop walks himself off the leash, he doesn’t go into streets, cross without permission or leave the property. We have never had any issues with Snoop chewing or damaging anything in the home. He is almost 5 years of age and due to a relocation of work we are unable to take him with us. We would like snoop to go to a loving home.

Story
Buddy "Blue Eyes was born on 1/2/2024, is a 9-month-old Mini Aussie. This gorgeous Chocolate Merle guy has stunning Bue Eyes, he weighs approximately 24 pounds. He was originally purchased from a breeder, but to no fault of his own he was not a good fit for his family, so they reached out to rescue to find him the right forever home. He is a high energy dog, who loves to run and play with his foster doggie siblings. He needs a home with a yard to run and play in, no apartments please. He tends to get a little nervous in new situations and around new dogs but warms up given a little time. He will do best with friendly dogs. He absolutely loves people and attaches to his people very quickly as Aussies do. He would be an amazing agility dog if someone is interested in doing agility training. His favorite things are love, fun and more love... If you are an active family this super handsome guy would make an amazing family companion. The adoption fee is $800 which includes: spay/neuter, microchipping with registration, up to date on vaccines, rabies vaccine (for dogs and pups over 4 months at time of alter), deworming, and topical flea treatment application (as needed). If interested in one if our dogs or puppies, please email pardonmeinc@yahoo.com for information and adoption questionnaire. Our animals can be seen by appointment only after approved application process. Please email to make sure the animal you are interested in is still available and/or will be attending or on-site adoption event. No phone calls please. If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please send all inquiries to pardonmeinc@yahoo.com.  **********FOSTER HOMES NEEDED************ We are always looking for loving foster homes for new arrivals! Story
The application is the first step in the adoption process, so if you are interested in adopting please fill out the online adoption application  first by visiting our website at www.dachshundpaws.org    Buddy, born 1/2/2024, is a 10 month old Mini Aussie. Buddy is a gorgeous Chocolate Merle Mini. Buddy weighs about 22 pounds. Buddy was originally purchased from a breeder, but he was not a good fit for the family. They didn’t quite know what they were getting into. He is an energetic little guy. So they reached out to us.  Buddy is a high energy dog, who loves to run and play with his foster doggie siblings. Buddy wrestles and plays chase with his foster dog siblings for hours every day.  Buddy would not be good as an apartment dog. Buddy does get nervous in new situations and around new dogs, and new people, he needs some time to warm up. He needs friendly dogs that understand he is a bit shy at first. Buddy loves people, and attaches to his people very quickly. Buddy would be a great agility dog, if the time is spent with him to teach him. He is very athletic and playful. Buddy LOVES to play chase, and can run and run with the other dogs.He is sensitive if the other dogs show any bit of aggression, he gets his feelings hurt, so he needs happy playful friendly dogs! Buddy just wants love, play and more love.  Buddy is still very much a puppy. Buddy is crate trained, and dog door trained. Buddy does love to sleep with his people, and sleeps great through the night. Buddy would do excel with an obedience course. It would help him and his new owner bond, and also help with his confidence and help him learn whats expected of him. Buddy is very smart and has so much potential, he just needs to learn to channel all that Aussie energy.    Buddy’s Adoption fee: $600We do not have a kennel or facility to visit, all dogs are kept in foster homes until their forever homes are found.Adoption Process: Once an approved application is on file, we will then set up a home visit. At that time we will bring the dog to the home in which you will all be sharing. We ask the entire family to be there that day. If we all agree on the placement, then the dog will stay with you that day.  Please visit our website at www.dachshundpaws.org    November 12, 2024, 11:35 pm
