Story
✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to Vancouver & Toronto💟 Meet Bada🩵 (It means sea in Korean) At the end of June 2022, Bada was admitted to the shelter with a fractured front leg. Bandaged in the hot weather, his wound attracted flies, and upon examination after rescue, his bones were misaligned, requiring a second surgery. Now, his bones have healed well, and he is happily running around without any issues. 😊 * Interaction with People : Bada is extremely fond of people. He's a sweetheart to humans, always greeting them with a big smile, which is so adorable. ❤ * Interaction with Dogs: He can be assertive towards dogs who play rough, so caution is needed. Tends to avoid encountering dogs with whom he had a clash at the Center. * Potty Training: He's been doing outdoor potty at the Center. * Hygiene: He's cooperative with ear cleaning and doesn't resist. However, he might whine when getting his nails trimmed as he's not used to it, so regular walks to grind his nails are necessary. * Walking: He follows people without pulling on the leash. Sometimes, he may resist going where he doesn't want to, but with leash training, he'll likely improve quickly. * Car Sickness: He's fine in the car and doesn't experience motion sickness at all! 💌Special Notes💌 * Separation anxiety and toilet training are still unknown as he's been living in a group at the center. * He rarely barks unnecessarily, but sometimes, he may bark alertly at external noises. He stops when called. * Bada enjoys being with people and receiving love while resting, so a place where he can receive undivided attention would be ideal. ☺️ He also enjoys his alone time when needed!

Story
Meet Rown🖤🤍 *Toward people: Loves people very very much! Although he experienced lots of accidents and has tragic memories about his past, he is a human-loving dog who shows lots and lots of love and affection! *Toward dogs: Is an energetic dog who loves playing with dog friends. Small dogs may be afraid of him sometimes due to his upbeat personality, but he can become a gentle dog by training him to control his excitement! *Separation anxiety: Unknown as he is staying at the center. *Potty training: Only outdoor potties at the center. *Hygiene: Has not experienced proper hygiene care yet as he is recovering/ getting treatments after his surgery, but he took hygiene-related care very well before surgery! ☺️ *Walking: Enjoys walking, but needs training as he may get hyper-excited. *Car-sickness: Rides cars very well without carsickness! 🖤Rescue Story🤍 Rown was rescued from the streets. He urgently needed surgery as he ate stones and screws. His legs were also injured probably due to the tough street environment, so he also had leg surgery and is currently recovering well. Rown is looking for a forever family that can give him lots of love and help make him healthy again! 🙏🏻 💌Special Notes💌 *Is undergoing rehabilitation after his ankle surgery, but has recovered a lot and walks well now! He may need to receive continuous rehabilitation therapy. Completed ankle fracture surgery

Story
Hi there. My name is ORIO (Oreo) and here is a bit of info about me:Breed: Border Collie / Labrador mixAge: 3-1/2 yrsGender: femaleWeight: 38 lbsHeight: tbd Highlights: calm, cuddler, loyal, clever Left in the freezing cold in Lebanon to fend for themselves at a young age, I was found on the streets roaming around and looking for food in the garbage. Me and my best friend Ollio were constantly harassed by passerbys. We were threatened with being shot, if not removed. Thankfully, a rescuer came through for us. I was pregnant when found and since had 4 adorable puppies (they will be up for adoption later.) I was transferred to a boarding shelter until a home was found.  I certainly enjoy snuggling, a real cuddle bug they call me.My foster says I am great in the house, calm outside and don't bark a lot. I enjoy the great outdoors. So much so, that it would be best to go to a home with some decent sized property for me to run around."Very sweet & very loving" is how my foster describes me. My foster has worked with me to get me to stop pulling on a leash. Now, I'm a pro walker. I am also great in the house.I have no aggressions at all and will wait to eat til told ok. I get along fine with other dogs. Not sure cats would be a good match nor chickens, as at times I have dug holes to try to escape from the acreage to get to the chickens next door... chicken al fresco. So, best without the temptation around. You will not find any behavioral issues with me (other than chickens), so should be fine with older kids. You'll see I am bright-eyed and happy. Very loyal and clever too. Bet you could teach me tricks.I really need to find a home with my buddy, Olivia (also posted), as we are quite bonded with one another. Energy Level: moderate I get along with:Dogs: yesCats:  noKids: no Prey drive: fairly high. My adopter needs to be willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise. Fears: none observed. Training: house and leashLeash skills: yes Please be prepared to continue training.House trained: yes. Please help me learn where to go in my new home. Health notes:I am spayed/neutered, vaccinated & microchipped. My adoption fee is $750.00. The adoption fee for me and my buddy Ollio together is $1000. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. ##1374363##

My name is Jelly Bean, but you can call me by my nickname, Jiji. Here is a little info about me:Breed: Border Collie/Husky mixAge: 4 YearsGender: maleWeight: 21 kg Height: 77 cmHighlight(s): gentle, kind, both active & calm Hi all, Jelly Bean here. I am a pretty unique looking boy as I have one brown eye and one blue eye. I was found seconds before being killed by mean people in a village in the Middle East. I don't know what I had done, but all I know is that people didn't like me to be around them.  Thanks to my amazing rescuers who believe in my gentle manner and kind soul. They are the reason why I got the second chance in life. I am looking for my forever home in Canada so I can experience the life I have always deserved.  I would love to have a relaxing home, where we can get out for hikes, yet chill like cucumbers at home too. I think we could build a lovely rapport without even talking. Just look into my eyes and you'll know my depth of love for you. Energy Level: moderate  I get along with:Dogs: yes, but selectiveCats: unsureKids: Yes! Check out my photos :) Fears: unknown/none observed. Please be patient assisting me in my transition. Training: NoneLeash skills: Yes. Please be prepared to continue training.House trained: Not really. Please help me learn. I have been really good learning things! Health notes: I have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.  My adoption fee is $700 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. [MID-EAST DOGS] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East. ##1650413##

Story
UPDATE: I am now in Canada and all ready to go to my forever home! I have been with a nice family, but then they had more family members move in and so the home became a bit small for all the humans and two dogs. My new foster says the same things about me that my past foster said - I am quiet and relaxed at home, I love the outdoors and dog parks and I'm a good leash walker. One of my biggest qualties is that I'm loyal. I will go to the window when my foster mom leaves and I'll watch her as she goes. I'll also hear her call when she returns and my tail starts to wag as I stand at the window and watch her return.  I am highly intelligent, 100% housetrained, and able to understand several commands including sit, heel, out, bed, stay. I also am known for really wanting to please my humans, although I am still feeling a bit nervous around some strangers, particularly men, when we're out walking. Given what I have learned so far in such a short time, I'm sure that I will learn to relax and trust humans who I don't know. While I like socializing with other dogs, at home I prefer being the only dog in a family. I can accept another dog being there but I'm not interested in a relationship with him/her, only with my humans. Also, given that I have a fairly sensitive personality which can cause me to feel nervous at times, I am not a good match for a home with kids and perhaps not a cat. Hi there, my name is GIGGLY and here is some info about me:Breed: Saluki/Border Collie mixAge: 2-1/2 yearsGender: maleWeight: 18 kgHeight: 50 cm Tossed out of a moving car in the Middle East when I was only two months old, a good Samaritan called the shelter and told the owner to go and find me in the bushes on the freeway. They literally had to go and search around where I was tossed to find me.  I am a very affectionate and happy dog with the humans to whom I'm close. I don't care much about connecting with other dogs - I can have a visit at the dog park and then be happy to go home with my human.  The staff named me Giggly. I always make everyone laugh, because I have so much energy and I do the funniest things at the shelter. Because I am in a shelter environment, there is no way to know about cats, but because of my high energy levels, the staff doesn’t think it would be a good idea for me to be around cats, as I might chase them. That is merely a guess though. Energy Level: moderate Get along with:Dogs, yesCats, unknown, though recommendation is noKids, no Prey drive: yes, with squirrels, rabbits, etc...  Fears: I am still fairly fearful of strangers when out on walks, particularly men. My response is to move away from them rather than to confront. Training: basic, but very eager to learn more & loves praise as he learns new thingsLeash skills: learning very quickly, accepts leash easily, learning heelHouse trained: yes Health notes:I have been spayed/neutered, *vaccinated & micro-chipped. My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD + applicable taxes.  Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. Story
Hello there, my name is Maxwell. Sounds distinguished, doesn't it? Here are some facts about me:Breed: Border Collie/Lab mixAge: 3 years oldGender: maleWeight: 50 lbsHighlights: rather laid back, enthusiastic, playful, cuddly Skills: I am housetrained but I don't get much practice walking on a leash as I currently live on a farm where I have a lot of space to run around. I have a moderate energy level. I'm actually a fairly laid back kind of guy - I love to run and play outside and then come inside for a nice cuddle. I LOVE car rides and I love my food. This can make me responsive to treat rewards for learning new stuff but it also means that I like dining on my own so I can make sure that I don't miss out on any of my delicious food. Don't get me wrong, I do like to have other dogs to play with but perhaps not little dogs. For whatever reason, I'm wary of them but I love hanging out with dogs my own size or bigger. Please, I don't socialize with the feline types and I am a bit too rambunctious to make me a good companion for kids. My foster says I'm a great sleeper and then, when I wake up, I'm eager to get my day going. I would really love a big fenced yard and some loving humans to adopt me and then we can go on a whole bunch of exciting car trips. Would you like to join me! Health: I have been immunized, microchipped, and neutered. My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. Story
Dumped as puppies near the SPCA PV sanctuary, Maple and her siblings began life as abandoned and are now in shelter care. These gorgeous pups are looking for a lucky new start with a family to love them. There are mixed breed, possibly pointer x cattle dog, but really we like to think of them as Mexican special breed of perfection. They are expected to grow to about 40 lbs. They were born in December 2023. They've been a hit at the local market and out with volunteer walkers - who wouldn't love them??! Maple is good with dogs and cats. They're making the best out of shelter life, but they would really love a happy ever after. The pups are in Mexico with flight options to Seattle, Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver. They are healthy and medium energy. If you think you might be a good fit, you can email pvcaadoptions@gmail.com, or go to our online application: https://forms.office.com/r/b1Fkq3u4zw

Story
** Currently fostered in Houston Texas, but available for adoption out of state via rescue transportation, included in adoption fee. Offer Zoom call to virtually meet prior to adoption. Meet Barkley! This sweet baby wandered up on someone's property. He was wearing a harness on that had the brand name boots and barkley, so that's where the finder got his name. Barkley was chipped, but unfortunately it was not registered. It shows that he was adopted in January2023, and that he is estimated about 5 years of age. He currently weighs around 55 lbs and we believe him to be a border collie/cattle dog mix. He has energy and he loves to run and play, but can be a couch potato too. His favorite thing in the world is to play fetch with a ball! Barkley likes other dogs if they are female, but has not been a fan of males. We believe it's from a lack of social time with other dogs because he doesn't come off as just an aggressive pup, he just seems like he was kept in a yard and ignored a lot of the time prior to rescue and may not be familiar with most dogs. Barkley clearly knows his basic commands, such as sit, kennel, shake and settle. He is highly toy and food motivated and responds wonderfully to focused training. With continued training, we could even see him being an agility pup! Barkley is crate trained, housebroken and does well on leash. He is fully vetted, meaning he us neutered, up to date on all vaccines, microchipped and on monthly preventions for flea, tick and heartworm. For more information on how to adopt Barkley, contact us at MokasMission@Gmail.com for an application.

Story
Mako is a sweet girl, very adventurous with lots of love to give. She loves the outdoors, hiking, car rides, off-leash parks, swimming, really anything as long as she gets to run around. She is well trained and knows a lot of tricks, and is very food motivated so its easy to teach her things. - Labrador / Australian Shepherd - 4 yrs old (April 28) - 50 lbs - Spayed She can be a little cautious at first meeting but once she warms up, then she is all love. She is a forager, always looking for things to munch on during a walk, but unfortunately that also means at home, she looks for food on the kitchen counters when no one is around. If someone is home with her though, she is a sweetheart and will not dare do anything bad I am looking to rehome her due to a change in my work that now prevents me from giving her the life she deserves. I am hoping to find a home that can provide her the time and resources she needs, and has the time and capacity to give her an adventurous life.
