Dino came to us when his elderly guardian was no longer able to properly look after him.Dino is a gentle soul that will shine brightest with someone who will be gentle and calm with him. He tends to be on the nervous side and would do really well in a home with a friendly resident dog. He is already partially crate and house trained so there should not be too much work needed to make that work in his new home. Intelligence shines behind those soulful eyes so he would do best in a home that has the time to train and keep him active.He should not go into a home with young children as border collies are notorious for their herding skills and will put them to use! We are looking for people who have border collie, or other working dog breed, experience at this time.Please come into the shelter during visiting hours if you would like to meet me. You can also submit an application online if I am in foster or you would like to save some time when you come visit. ✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to Vancouver & Toronto💟 Meet Rown🖤 Rown was found on the street. He had swallowed stones and screws due to hunger, requiring emergency surgery. He also had an injury on his leg from his difficult life on the streets, but after surgery, he’s now in recovery. * With People: Loves people so much! Despite having a hard time in the past with accidents and struggles, he is endlessly affectionate and loves being around people. * With Dogs: Is full of energy and enjoys playing with other dogs. Is very playful and always approaches first to initiate play. * With Cats: Is curious and always watches them when they pass by. * Separation Anxiety: Currently resides with other dogs at the Center, so it’s hard to determine. Shows mild signs of separation anxiety when alone. * Potty Training: Is well-trained to go potty both indoors and outdoors. * Hygiene: Is still getting used to baths. Resists at first but cooperates well once he’s in the bath. Is also good with drying, brushing, and nail trimming. * Walks: Loves walks so much that he sometimes pulls on the leash when he gets excited. But it’s not severe and can be managed easily. * Car Sickness: Rides well without any signs of motion sickness. 💌Special Notes💌 * Has mastered several commands such as “sit” and “paw” about 80% of the time. * His right foreleg is chafed whenever he walks. A shoe is a must when he goes out for a walk. ❗Health Condition ❗ * Neutered. * Microchipped, and ankle surgery completed. * His right foreleg has been unfolded and stiffened after the ankle surgery. Has no issue in a daily life.

Collie is a 2-year-old male border collie with a troubled past of neglect and abuse. His former owner kept him tied up for almost two years and did not properly feed him. He was rescued when his owner tried to sell him to a dog farm. He now resides at our training center where he is being properly cared for and preparing for his new life. Despite Collie’s past, he is full of love for people. He is so cute when he begs for people to come close to him and pet him. He values bonding with people and is not shy at all, even with strangers. He especially likes to be hugged and even likes taking baths. He also has good relationships with other dogs, and although he lacks play experience with his canine friends, he is learning new ways to play every day. He has a gentle heart and does not fight or provoke conflict. Due to the past two years of neglect and being essentially restrained from physical motion, he lacks muscle development in his legs, so even a short walk can be difficult. With regular walks, he will begin to build muscle and regain his strength. He also has a strong attachment to meals which may be due to past experiences of hunger. However, he does not exhibit any signs of resource guarding. Border collies are a highly intelligent breed, and Collie exemplifies that trait very well. If you have an understanding of border collies, he could be the perfect companion dog for you. With love and attention, Collie will be a joy to your family.

Meet Mr Cupid! He is a border collie mixed breed who is neutered and vaccinated. Cupids situation has been declining socially as his current owner is not able to care for him any longer for a number of circumstances and has recently surrendered him to our rescue organization. Cupid loves running and going for runs with his owner. He loves his 'treats' and being a border collie mix, he will pretty much do cartwheels for you if the training is right! He is generally okay with other dogs but he does seem to be more guarded now with them, this could be due to his current lack of socialization and him not being out and meeting other dogs for quite a while now. He does seem to be okay with cats but also something that should be watched at first to make sure. He is a strong active player and runner and is not recommended for homes with children and seniors. It is recommended that he goes to a home that has a good yard for him to be out and run off some of his energy. Cupid also has developed resource guarding behaviour with his food and will growl and attempt to bite if people are too close to him while he's eating, around food or with things in his mouth. This is an issue that is important to address and that can be rehabilitated with proper and strong owner/dog training and guidance. Cupid is a type of breed that possesses high intelligence and is brilliantly quick to learn anything with the right owner and become the perfect dog.
