Story
We're blessed to have had Jaxx for 7 years, he just turned 8 in October. We would love to find him a home with a senior seeking a companion, a couple, a person with another dog, or a family. Jaxx is incredibly patient and kind. We have 2 young children and he has been nothing but sweet despite their playful curiosities that sometimes end in accidental tugs. Unfortunately my youngest daughter has an allergy we've tried everything for and we're unable to keep him, but we're optimistic he will find the perfect home with you. As I said, Jaxx is incredibly patient with kids, does great with other dogs at the dog park, and walks/jogs well on a leash (though not as fast as when he was a younger dog). He would love to snuggle in bed with you if you desire that, however, if that is not comfortable for you, he is also so happy on his own comfy bed. He has an incredible ability to attune and understand what the house rules are (i.e.- kitchen is a boundary, etc.) and is an emotional companion

Story
This sweet girl came into the shelter a little scared, she has quickly warmed up and is ready to greet you with body wiggle and a tail wag. She enjoys being able to give her favorite staff member a hug while going outside. She did come in a little under socialized with other dogs so she might do best as an only dog in the home or with a calm dog. She would enjoy going for a walk or a hike in the mountains. Please ask to meet her outside.

Story
We told Vanilla Ice that we were going to take his picture so we can post him online so we can find him a new family. His response was to go play in the biggest mud puddle he could find! Then he said, "I'm ready, let's do this!"  Vanilla Ice was picked up by animal control, living under a manufactured home in a nearby town with his siblings. Best guess is that he is a heeler/husky cross by looking at him and his siblings. We never saw his mom so it is just a best guess. The whole litter was very shy, and we had to put in some extra work to get them to be friendly and social with humans and they are doing great now. They are ready to find their new homes now. They are current on their vaccinations, deworms, microchipped and have been fixed. PLEASE e-mail (do not call) mike@caaronline.org for more information and to set up an appointment to adopt. Do not e-mail us with a request to call you, if you have a question please ask in the e-mail.   All dog are adopted on a first come - first served basis. Central Arizona Animal Rescue is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 corporation. We are located in San Tan Valley, AZ. If you have other dogs already, you must bring them for introduction prior to adoption. Follow us on Facebook - www.facebook.com/CentralArizonaAnimalRescue WE DO NOT TAKE OWNER SURRENDERS - If you are looking to surrender a dog, take them to the county animal control in the county you reside in. That is where we get all of our dogs we are trying to save. Story
Hello, world! I'm Buckley, a 1-year-old red heeler mix with a little extra wiggle in my walk, thanks to something called cerebellar hypoplasia (or CH for short). Now, CH might sound fancy, but all it really means is that I have a unique swagger—think of me as your own personal, four-legged dance partner. My walk might be wobbly, but I don’t let it slow me down one bit! I was rescued from a tough situation, but those days are behind me. Now, I’m living the good life in my foster home, where I’m thriving and showing off my joyful personality every single day. Sure, I might take a tumble now and then—especially when I'm super excited—but I always bounce back with a smile (and maybe a little help from my friends). The best part? My condition isn’t contagious, and it won’t get any worse. I’m self-sufficient and love doing all the things a young pup should—running, playing, eating, and even riding in the car. I’m a pro at walking on a leash, I get along great with other dogs, and I absolutely adore kids. I sleep soundly in my crate at night and don’t need any special medications, just a little patience and a lot of love. I’m looking for a special family who can see past my wobbles and into my heart. If you’re ready to embrace my quirks and help me live my best life, I promise to fill your days with endless joy and plenty of puppy love. So, what do you say? Ready to let me wobble my way into your heart? Buckley is 38lbs, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. We offer meet and greet with trial run before adoption so you can see how it will work out before deciding to adopt - no pressure, no risk. Visit cooperschance.org for online application.   All Cooper’s Chance adoptable pets are spayed/neutered, UTD on shots, heartworm negative, de-wormed, micro chipped and housebroken. If you are interested in adopting this pet, please visit our website at cooperschance.org for additional information. We are a 501c3 non profit, your donations save lives and are 100% tax deductible.October 28, 2024, 12:56 pm

Story
Roxi is a 6-year-old female dog with a heart full of energy and love. She’s known for her playful spirit, especially when it comes to playing fetch. Roxi can spend hours chasing her favorite ball, always eager to return it for another throw. Her boundless energy and enthusiasm are contagious, making her the perfect companion for active adults or older children who can match her pace. While Roxi is incredibly affectionate and loves being close to her family, she’s NOT comfortable around young children. She prefers quieter environments where she can enjoy her playtime and snuggles without feeling overwhelmed. Roxi thrives in settings where she’s given the space to enjoy her games and be showered with attention on her terms. Her loving nature and joyful energy make Roxi a wonderful companion for those who understand her needs, filling their lives with love and fun.
