Our happy boy Smokey is just such an adorable guy! Hard to say what breed he is as he is a sweet rescuewhich in my opinion that breed is perfect! Our best guess is border collie/Aussie/heeler mix. He's about 8 months old. He is great with other dogs, cats and loves to play. He is crate trained and working on his house training. Smokey is a super smart dog who just wants to please. His adoption fee is $180 and that includes his neuter, 4 puppy vaccines, microchip and 30 days free pet insurance. To meet him text 602-908-6215. December 19, 2024, 12:34 pm

Story
Name: Turtle Age: 4-5 months About her from foster: She sleeps all night in her crate and doesn’t bark or whine. She usually makes it through the night, but occasionally will pee in there if I leave her in there past 7. She loves toys and treats. She loved to snuggle on the couch and of course LOVES other dogs. She is now just laying down if I approach her instead of running away. She is still very shy of other people she doesn’t know. She was also cat tested and did great.

Hello everyone, I`m Benjamin!I am a striking pup looking for my fur-ever family. I would be a wonderful addition if my new family is up to taking me on lots of walks, hikes, or runs daily, with lots of playtime in between of course. I get the zoomies a lot so be ready to see me run! I`ll never turn down a fun training session to learn more tricks (with lots of treats of course), or a fun playtime session to get out some energy! I`d love to meet all members of the family (dogs included) to ensure a good fit. If you think we could be a good match, come say hello to me and all of my other adoptable friends! No appointment necessary!Meet me at AAWL`s Main Shelter!25 N. 40th StPhoenix AZ 85034602-273-6852Adoption Hours:Monday - ClosedTuesday - Friday & Sunday - 11:30am - 6:00pmSaturday - 10:30am - 6:00pm.AAWL requires that all adopted dogs leave with a leash and collar and all cats leave in a carrier.

Story
My name's Tigger or Tiggeroni. It's because I love to jump- on the sofa, on the bed, on the trampoline. I'm a pretty active dude. You need someone to remind you to put the toilet lid down? I got your back. You need a reason to go for a walk once (maybe twice?) a day? I can be that reason! You need someone to cuddle with? Laugh at? Spoil? I promise I can be all that! I'm crate trained, I know how to sit, I refuse to go potty in the house or in my crate. I will greet you every time you come home with a happy, wagging tail. I do have some quirks though. You have to meet me to see if we get along and I need to meet any dogs you have. I get along with 90% of the dogs I meet and I'm really playful with big dogs! If you have a treat, I'll follow you and do whatever you say! I would be best with older kids (ages 10+) or no kids though. If you've gotten this far, you want the nitty gritty, right? Well, I am neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots and ready to go now!

Story
Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Gilbert, AZ Meet Bleuberry! He is a 1-year-old Miniature American Shepherd and weighs 25 lbs. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots and on heartworm prevention. Bleuberry is fearful of strangers! He is good with cats and dogs! No children, due to his reactivity! He is housebroken and crate trained. Bleuberry bit 2 strangers after they approached him and tried to pet him, without letting him come to them first. He has nipped several of the owner’s family members when they were too close to him during his mealtime. Bleuberry bit the owner on his nose when the owner bent to pet him while he was sleeping. He bit one of the owner’s child’s friends on the lip when he was meeting Bleuberry. He also stalked and bit one of the owner’s children a couple of times on their hand after they walked by and pet him on his head. The owner is surrendering him because he doesn’t do well with their 2 kids. They have worked with trainers and behaviorists, but he hasn’t improved. He needs to go ASAP! If you think you can provide a great home for Bleuberry, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $150 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. Story
Meet Rudy Girl, a 2-year-old, 45 lb all round mix looking for her forever home!   Background: Rudy Girl and her 8 month old puppy, Ivy, also at helpadogsmile.org joined us from the reservation after a resident found them alone and desperately looking for food:) She started feeding them while we worked out transportation and confirmed that they were not owned dogs. Personality: Rudy is the sweetest soul who is eager to please. She loves all dogs and food is the way to her heart. She is in group play with up to 30 dogs and seems to just match energy levels ...she likes to play but can also settle easily. Health: Rudy is up to date on all vaccines, spayed, and microchipped.   Training: Rudy keeps her kennel clean and should be a pro in the house as she likes to be clean.  She is comfortable wandering on a leash and with a treat will stay right with you....she is not a puller.  Ideal Home: Rudy would love a home where her family is easy and slow with her as she adjusts. She is fine with other dogs and loves to be with her people. If you are considering a pair she would love to be placed with her happy go lucky puppy, Ivy.  A secure, fenced-in yard is a must to keep her safe.   Adoption Requirements: Rudy’s adoption fee is $350. If you live in the Phoenix metro area and think she could be the right fit for you, please complete an adoption application*: helpadogsmile.org/adoption-application  *Please note that the application is not a commitment to adopt–it is a tool used to help determine if a dog and applicant would make a good match. Applications are forwarded to the foster family for review and follow-up. February 1, 2025, 6:38 pm
