Story
Age: 2 yearsWeight: 30.5 kgA bit about Shadow:- unknown history with kids; interactions should be supervised- no cats / small animals, high prey drive- dogs unknown, select other dog in home okay pending successful introductionAlthough he can be shy at first, Shadow is a sweet and snuggly boy who loves to be the center of the action. His previously family told us that he truly is a shadow, interested in trailing you around your home and supervising your activities. He loves care rides, fetch, tug, and using his big nose to sniff out the treats. Shadow is a strong dog who can be a bit of an escape artist who will need some support to learn about polite walking, as well as the best ways to greet potential dog friends. Although he enjoys the company of other dogs, he often offers very rude greetings and will often pull and bark towards dogs he wants to meet. Shadow would appreciate a family who is comfortable handling a strong dog and prepared to work with him on leash reactivity using humane handling techniques. He`s so much fun to have around and will be sure to bring everyone lots of joy. Shadow is a bit stressed in shelter and may be a little nervous when you first meet - give him a chance; he is more than ready to go home!

Quick Facts  Name: Damon Age: Estimated 7 months Gender: Male Neutered: Yes Breed: Border Collie mix Color: Black and white Weight: 12.5 kg Height: 48 cm (to the shoulder when standing on all fours) Health Vaccinations: Up-to-date, including rabies and comprehensive vaccinations. Heartworm Test: Negative (tested in July 2024).   All About MeHello! I’m Damon, a lively and clever Border Collie mix who’s always ready for an adventure. My story began on a tough note—I was found lying weak and dehydrated on the streets. Thankfully, kind people noticed me and brought me to safety, where I was nursed back to health. Since then, I’ve blossomed into a strong, happy pup, and now I’m ready to find a family who’s as enthusiastic about life as I am!   Social SkillsTrue to my Border Collie roots, I’m full of energy and love to play. Whether it’s chasing after toys, playing tug, or running in wide-open spaces, I’m in my element when I get to move and explore. I also enjoy playing with my dog friends, and while I can be a little rambunctious, it’s all in good fun! I’m happiest with buddies who don’t mind my playful style, but I know how to be gentle when the situation calls for it. When it comes to people, I might be a little shy at first—especially around younger children who make sudden moves—but once I get comfortable, I warm up quickly and enjoy gentle pets and attention. I even don’t mind being picked up into a cozy hug! I’ve also been practicing my manners and obedience skills in a training program, where I’m impressing everyone with my intelligence and eagerness to learn.   Energy and ActivitiesMy energy level is pretty high, so outdoor adventures are essential for me to burn off steam. After a good play session or a nice walk, though, I settle down happily and relax. On walks, I can get a bit excited and pull on the leash, but I respond well to gentle guidance. I’m naturally focused on my human, so with a little training, I’m sure I’ll be a great walking buddy.   Training and HabitsAs for my routine, I’m a big fan of outdoor bathroom breaks, and I’m learning about scent marking when in new places—it’s just my way of saying hello! I’m pretty quiet at home and rarely bark, but I might give a little yip if I want something.   Special NotesOverall, I’m looking for an experienced family, ideally one who understands Border Collies or active, intelligent dogs like me. I’ll thrive in a home where I can get plenty of physical exercise and mental stimulation, as well as consistent guidance. With my smarts, boundless energy, and loving personality, I’m eager to be someone’s loyal and playful companion. Could you be the one to give me my forever home? ##2260992##

Story
Quick Facts Name: Louis Age: 3.5 years old (born in 2021)  Gender: Male  Spayed: Yes Breed: Border Collie & Jindo Mix  Color: White with beige spots  Weight: 17kg  My Journey I had quite the adventure before getting here! I was once in a shelter, facing an uncertain future. On the very last day before my time was up, a kind rescue group stepped in and saved me. There was even a mix-up where another pup was rescued in my place, but in the end, everything worked out, and now I’m safe and ready to find my forever home! My Health Fully vaccinated Neutered Heartworm treatment completed (August–October 2024, Stage 1) Heartworm retest coming up soon My Personality I may be a little reserved when meeting new people, but give me a treat, and I’ll warm up quickly! I’ll even let you give me gentle pets once we become friends. I like to take my time getting to know someone, but once I trust you, I’ll remember you forever. I have a calm and balanced personality, and I enjoy both outdoor playtime and relaxing at home. I love meeting other dogs and will happily say hello to new furry friends! When I see a cat outside, I might stop and watch for a moment, but I always listen when my person guides me along. My Favourite Things Exploring the Outdoors – I love my walks and enjoy getting fresh air. Making New Dog Friends – I have a friendly and playful nature. Tasty Treats – The fastest way to my heart! Life at Home I’m a quiet and well-mannered pup who doesn’t bark much. I’m used to outdoor potty breaks, and I don’t guard my food from people or other dogs. I’m still getting used to car rides—I can handle short trips, but on long rides, I sometimes get a little queasy. I also prefer not to be in a kennel for too long, but with time, I settle in and relax. One thing to know about me: I have a great memory! If I’ve had a not-so-fun experience, like a vet visit, I might be a little cautious the next time I see that person. But don’t worry—I never react negatively, I just like to keep my distance at first. When I visited a home with a cat, I was very curious but stayed polite. I approached gently to sniff, showing my friendly and respectful nature. My Ideal Home I’m looking for a loving family that will give me time to adjust and build trust. If you’re patient and kind, I’ll be your most loyal and loving companion! A Calm & Loving Home – I bond deeply with my people and thrive in a safe, caring environment.A Friendly Dog Companion (Optional) – I enjoy socializing with other dogs, so I’d love a furry sibling!Outdoor Adventures – I appreciate time outside, followed by peaceful relaxation at home. Special Notes If you’re looking for a gentle, intelligent, and affectionate companion, I just might be the one for you! I can’t wait to start my next chapter with my forever family. ##2318483##

Story
This sweet little guy is ready to find his forever home! He’s still a puppy, so he’s looking for a family who can help him with basic manners and training. He’d do best in a home with adults only, or older teens (16+) with experience, due to his puppy mouthing and prey drive. He loves daily walks, playtime in a fenced yard, and responds well to verbal cues like `sit` (and takes treats gently!). He’ll need to go home with either basic manners training or a private consultation to set him up for success. If you’re ready to help him grow, he’s ready to bring lots of love and fun into your life! He is expected to be a large to extra large dog when fully grown, he is currently 50lbs.

Story
Currently in a Seattle foster home Cola is a bright and clever pup who was sadly abandoned but has kept his happy and loving spirit. Rescued just in time from a shelter, he’s now ready to find his forever home! Cola is smart and well-trained—he already knows sit, down, shake, and crate and picks up new commands quickly. He loves playing fetch and tug-of-war, but indoors, he’s calm and well-behaved. He sleeps peacefully in his own space and doesn’t struggle with separation anxiety. He’s not too interested in other dogs and may be a bit wary of those who bark at him, so he’d do best as the only dog in the home. He absolutely loves walks but needs a little guidance to stop picking things up from the ground. Cola is friendly with new people and doesn’t fear adult men. While he tends to bond more with grown-ups, he’s also gentle with kids. He enjoys car rides and waits patiently at the vet, even when he’s a little nervous. With a loving and respectful owner, Cola will shine as the loyal, affectionate, and well-mannered companion he’s meant to be. He’s the perfect mix of playful and calm—all he needs now is a family to call his own!

Story
Oreo is a 3-year-old male Border Collie/Jindo mix who was rescued from a shelter just before he was scheduled for euthanasia. Sadly, and for unknown reasons, before finding himself abandoned and alone at the shelter, his teeth had been deliberately ground down. Amazingly and despite this, he remains a lively, energetic, and otherwise healthy dog who is remarkably intelligent, craves human interaction, and is very loyal to his guardian. Oreo has the exceptional intelligence typical of Border Collies, fully understanding various commands such as "sit," "wait," and "house." He is also deeply loyal to his guardian and has a strong capacity for forming deep bonds typical of the Jindo breed. He is truly a remarkable dog who has the capacity to grow into an even more amazing companion through continued obedience training and by establishing a trusting relationship with his guardian. Oreo is incredibly affectionate and loves people. He is also very social and gets along well with other dogs. However, he has a habit of jumping when excited, which requires caution when a person is interacting with him in a low position. With consistent training, this behavior can be corrected. Being highly energetic, Oreo possesses excellent jumping ability. At the training center, he has been known to leap over fences—not out of a desire to escape, but due to his curiosity and strong attachment to his guardian. In fact, he has demonstrated behavior where he jumps over a fence when he hears his guardian's voice outside, only to return shortly after. For this reason, families with yards should ensure proper supervision, and a high-fenced environment may be more suitable. The Ideal Family for Oreo is: ✔️ Someone who understands the high intelligence and energy levels of Border Collies, the exceptional loyalty of Jindos, and can provide sufficient mental and physical stimulation ✔️ Someone with experience in training or handling large dogs ✔️ Someone who values bonding with their dog and is ready to build a deep connection ✔️ Someone who can provide ample space for Oreo to move and exercise freely Despite his heartbreaking past, Oreo still loves people and finds his greatest happiness in being with his guardian. With so much intelligence and energy, he has limitless potential to become the perfect lifelong companion if he meets the right family, one that understands him and is ready to provide him with love, care, and proper training. Oreo is waiting for his new family! ❤️
