We adopted her after the home whole originally took her in couldn’t have her because she was attacking their other cats. She is a very sweet girl but cannot do high energy houses. I have three little boys who even when she’s calm and patient won’t come out of hiding until everyone is in bed and then comes to the adults and wants all the love. We have relocated and have more neighbors meaning way more high energy in our household more often resulting in her never leaving under the bed until night time and causing her to use the bathroom inside of my room because she is too scared to leave and use her box. She’s never had box training issues other than when we first got her and it was too far away from her with the high energy during the days. She is a very sweet girl who just wants calm house and to be loved. She is under two, I just can’t have her living her life in fear of the high energy.

Danny must have been owned as a kitten but was likely shown the door when he came of age. People tend to abandon their “beloved” pets rather than neuter them. And so we found Danny as a young adult befriending an established outdoor cat colony and brought him into foster care. Absolutely no socialization was required for this guy. Danny is an extrovert extraordinaire and gives everyone the time of day. He’s very good with other cats and is not too offended by cat-friendly dogs. He’s also a champion at tunneling beneath the covers at night, often without notice! Danny has been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, and his FeLV/FIV test came back negative for both. He is currently 12.5 pounds and approximately 2 years old. If interested in welcoming this green-eyed sweetheart into your home, please send an e-mail to theamericanstreetcat[at]gmail[dot]com and request an application. Adoption fees apply to all of our rescues so that we can continue to help others in need.
