DEMANDS ENDLESS HOURS OF LOVING ATTENTION  DOB 1/11/23 Hey everyone! I’m Tomm, a very quiet, calm, and handsome – if I do say so myself – 12-pound Bombay mix fella with a sleek, shiny black patent-leather coat and big golden-globe eyes. I’m one of those Velcro boys who loves to stick close to Foster Meowmy where I can demand endless hours of gentle stroking and loving ear-scritches. My brothers Jerry, Jax, and I, a.k.a. #3-mousketeers, were less than a year old when we showed up as homeless strays in Foster Meowmy’s neighborhood. Initially she trapped, neutered, and released us. After about a year of feeding us, when her last foster kitten had been adopted, she decided that, with a little time and patience, we’d make wonderful indoor companion pets. It did take a while for her to earn my trust, but once she did (thanks to treat rewards!), I’m now all hers!! Boy howdy! I’m Pancake, a sweet, affectionate, and cuddly Bombay mix fella with coper-penny eyes who loves to snuggle either in Foster Meowmy’s lap or against her thigh as we binge on Netflix together. It’s so relaxing for her gently to massage all over my body, and I’ll hang out with her as long as she’s willing to pet me. I even enjoy belly rubs, which is unusual for a cat. I overheard Foster Meowmy tell someone recently, “Pancake is a gentleman in every way.” I guess you’d say that I’m a Gentle Giant because I’m extra-large, but the way I look at it, you’ve just got more to hug! Despite my plus-size, I’m somewhat playful, and catnip makes me go crazy!! My brother Waffle and I find ourselves homeless through no fault of our own.   DOB 4/13/25 Hey there, everyone! I’m Jupiter, a sweet, loving, and very playful Bombay mix gal with copper-penny eyes and a sleek, shiny black-patent leather coat who can be a little shy at times. I have a little ritual every morning in that I come to Foster Meowmy for love and cuddles. Although a lot of my siblings like to be held tummy-up like a baby, I prefer for Foster Meowmy to hold me to her chest with my paws over her shoulder. And whereas my siblings seem to love being held endlessly, I start nibbling on Foster Meowmy if she holds me too long! After my feral momma birthed Karma, Jupiter, Opal, and me outside of Foster Meowmy’s house, she moved us to inside a neighbor’s car (through the open window, I might add). Then Meowmy moved us to a box on her porch, but when Momma saw some neighbors pick us up, she moved us a few doors down to a used-car business. Imagine Foster Meowmy’s surprise when she looked inside an old car and found not only us under the driver’s seat but also another litter of four kittens under the passenger’s seat!! She gathered up both of our stowaway litters and carefully placed us in boxes on her porch so that we could safely nurse. Our mommas continued to move us multiple times, and Foster Meowmy always managed to find us and put us back in our weaning boxes. Finally, when we were five weeks old and could eat on our own, Foster Meowmy brought us all inside to the safe haven of her home where she could care for all of us. She even was the perfect feline Florence Nightingale when she administered antibiotic ointment to some of our crusty eyes. Now that we’re fat and sassy, you can imagine the kitten mayhem that goes on inside our big foster bathroom! We tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle, and when we’re exhausted, we collapse in a kitten puddle. We’ve all got a little mischief in our genes because we love to escape the foster bathroom, but I’m usually the mastermind who comes up with the most ingenious way to escape our foster bathroom and lead my siblings behind me. And once I am loose in the house, I’m very good at hiding so Foster Meowmy can’t return me to the bathroom. I love Foster Meowmy and am so grateful that she gave me a chance at the fabulous indoor life of a pampered pet. VELCRO KITTY WHO LOVES TO CUDDLE  DOB 4/1/25 Hey there, everyone! I’m Onyx, a sweet, loving, and very playful Bombay mix fella with copper-penny eyes and a sleek, shiny black-patent leather coat. Bombays are often called Velcro cats because we like to stick so close to our hoomans, and I am always delighted to spend time cuddling with Foster Meowmy any chance I can grab. You see, I have to share her time and attention with my three littermates as well as another litter of four kittens. Here’s the story: My feral momma birthed Obsidian, Jasper, Topaz, and me underneath the seat of an old car parked in a used-car business . Foster Meowmy’s finding us when we were only about three weeks old might never have happened if she hadn’t been trying to rescue the other set of kittens whom another feral momma had birthed outside of Foster Meowmy’s house. The other momma had moved her litter from Meowmy’s yard to inside her neighbor’s car (through the open window, I might add) and ultimately a few doors down to the used-car business. Imagine Meowmy’s surprise when she found not only the kittens she’d been tracking under the driver’s seat but also my litter under the passenger’s seat!! She gathered up both of our "stowaway" litters and carefully placed us in boxes on her porch so that we could safely nurse. Our mommas continued to move us multiple times, and Foster Meowmy always managed to find us and put us back in our weaning boxes. Finally, when we were seven weeks old and could eat on our own, Foster Meowmy brought us all inside to the safe haven of her home where she could care for all of us. She even was the perfect feline Florence Nightingale when she administered antibiotic ointment to some of our crusty eyes. Now that we’re fat and sassy, you can imagine the kitten mayhem that goes on inside our big foster bathroom! All eight of us tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle, and when we’re exhausted, we collapse in a kitten puddle. I love to sleep in the bathroom sink because it’s my favorite “bed” when I need a little “time out” from the kitten frenzy. Mindy loves teaming up with her siblings for playtime shenanigans, and she’s often the one leading the charge into kitten-sized trouble (the fun kind). They grew up around the hustle and bustle of bar-goers and love being around people. When the only home they’d ever known closed down this summer, the resident kitties were left alone to fend for themselves until some good Samaritans stepped in. Charlotte is by far the bravest of her crew – the “pack leader” you might say. As an indoor cat she developed the funniest little greeting ritual: she gives a little mew, casually walks up, and stands up on her hind legs, smushing her head into your hand for pets. Once she gets her pets, she can hardly contain her excitement and shakes her tail at top speed. It’s hard to describe but is one of the most endearing things I’ve seen. She’s also waiting at “her” window every day, keeping tabs on the action outside. If you’re looking for a watchdog who won’t actually alert you to intruders or guard the house, Charlotte is your girl. Mark my words: if something is going on out there, she’ll be watching with her face against the glass like an adorable nosy neighbor. The window is Charlotte’s version of Reality TV. It is her favorite past time and she takes her hobby very seriously. ___ Charlotte is still a bit confused about the concept of being picked up. We are practicing this daily and slowly making progress, but there is a chance she might just be the kind of cat who needs to climb or jump up on her own instead of being carried. She isn’t a super-needy Velcro cat, she’s more like a best friend and companion who will lay next to you (or by her window) while you pass the time together. With the progress this girl has made in just one month, I can only imagine how much she will grow and blossom with her perfect family. ___ Miss Charlotte has a nearly-identical sister Chloe who is also up for adoption – the two of them are very close and would be an adorable pair for anyone looking for double the fun. She has a very easygoing demeanor, and with proper introductions she would do just fine with an existing resident cat. She would also be fabulous as an only cat with love and attention from her human family. Charlotte has not met a dog during her time indoors. We would be happy to test her temperament with dogs prior to adoption for any serious applicants who have patient resident pups. Charlotte is ~2 years old, spayed, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and microchipped. She does a great job of keeping her litterbox tidy, all she needs now is her forever home. Playful and curious, she’s always ready to turn an ordinary day into an adventure. Socks loves interactive toys, chasing feather wands, and exploring every corner of her world. Once she’s had her fun, she’s happy to relax nearby and enjoy gentle pets from her favorite humans. She’s social and enjoys being around people and loves to be carried around to the explore the world as she cuddles you. Socks currently lives alongside other cats and coexists peacefully, though she’s not particularly cuddly or bonded with them.
