DOGS & CATS: Unless otherwise noted, they are compatible with calm dogs who are cat-friendly. They are also compatible with cat-friendly cats with similar energy levels. If interested in a cat/kitten with a higher energy level than your current cat, adopting a bonded pair is recommended to avoid upsetting your cat. Slow introduction to new dogs and cats, according to the Jackson Galaxy method, is important to ensure they get along. FLUFFY KITTIES: Adopters must have experience grooming long hair cats or be willing to take a quick class on YouTube about grooming long hair cats. TRANSPORT DETAILS: Kittens younger than 16 weeks: adopters can fly to Austin or San Antonio airports for pickup. Texas: cats over 14 weeks can travel along 1-35 or within 4 hours of San Antonio with a rescue partner for a small donation. Out of state: for cats over 14 weeks old, transport is available to most of the Southern states, plus CT, NY, PA, ME, NJ and a few other states for $175 per crate. If they get along and space permits, up to 2 cats or 4 kittens can share a crate, and cost will be split amongst adopters. He’s my best friend and I am devastated that I have to part with him. I can no longer afford rent in my current living situation and am head over heels in debt. I have no idea what my next living situation is going to be after my current lease expires, so my primary concern is to make sure my best friend is taken care of in a loving home. Sagan is a good boy and is very attached to me and will likely need a good amount of time to adjust and form a new bond in his new home. He is extremely intelligent, vocal, and loves to run around and play. He can be temperamental, and likely will be until he gets comfortable in his new home. He is well worth the time and investment and is incredibly loving when he is happy.
