Not good with kids, Not good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter,
Story
I have had Maia since fall of 2021. While it hasn't necessarily been easy, I still deeply love her. Due to both concerns about the safety of my toddler and landlord restrictions, I need to surrender her to someone who is very experienced with cats with behavioral issues. Maia has high anxiety and it causes a wide range of issues. These include marking directly outside of the litter box or by entrances/along walls, over-scratching her litter box (very loud when covering), is not good with kids or other animals, especially cats — one incident of her causing severe wounds on my hand: she was aggravated by another cat at the door and I reacted poorly. It was absolutely my fault for reaching my hand between them! She just needs a home more suited for her: someone who lives alone, no kids or other pets, possibly works from home, and has plenty of time to give her love and affection. She doesn't mark when she is well tended to. Loyal, likes tummy rubs, play, cuddles, eating with you, zoomies.

*A "COURTESY LISTING” Yamuna is a very social, affectionate girl, who loves to jump on your lap and purr. Contact: catchancerescue@gmail.com/ 610-324-4726 Hi my name is Yamuna and I resemble a “miniature black panther”, I am a very social kitty, about 8 years old who loves company of people a lot! Overall, I am intelligent, very loving black beauty with gorgeous eyes and a shiny, sleek black coat, who just wants to love, love, love you! I love to be hold, pet, lay on your lap and get lots of attention. If you think you can get any work done on your PC – well, I will lay next to you on your desk to keep you company but make sure to pay attention to me too and give me a head rub meanwhile. I am a cuddle and very affectionate with people. I am very outgoing and interactive. My favorite thing in the world is to sleep in bed with humans right under arm and purr. I'm a loyal, loving companion and a very affectionate kitty and I love to play a lot. I am very outgoing and interactive. I would love a home with lots of toys and someone who has time for me to interact, pet and play with me. As soon as you sit down I will jump on your lap purring. I am very smart kitty and if you call me I come right to you and follow you everywhere in the house. Did you know? Black cats have more baggage than your average feline. Seen as an enigma, a superstition, a symbol of luck – good or bad, depending on the tradition or belief, they are often misunderstood, or just plain looked over. Black cats have the lowest adoption rate. This is unfortunate, and not just for the cats- black cats make some of the best companions and people are really missing out! Although each and every cat has a unique personality, in general, I have noticed a few traits that really stand out in black cats. Here, in my humble experience is why: Beautiful: From brownish to bluish to every shade of black in between, black cats are beautiful in the way that one can only imagine onyx would be, if it were covered in fur. Loyal: No matter how many work trips or late nights, I am always greeted at the door. I am meowed to over the phone when away. Black cats are wonderful in being both friendly to all and dedicated to their person/people. Adaptable: While some cats struggle with change, black cats tend to quickly adapt to whatever circumstances they are dealt. Aware: Black cats seem to walk a line- they tend to be more calm and reserved than some other cats, yet they balance that by staying playful and active throughout their lives. They relish new toys, found objects, and are talented at entertaining themselves for hours (and napping for hours thereafter). The types of games they create and the ones they enjoy engaging in often involve others-people, cats, dogs, etc., and tend to be more complex, such as games of fetch and tag. Smart: In a final word, black cats are smart. They are savvy to things going on around them, and highly responsive and capable of handling change, throughout which, they remain calm, loving, energetic companions. Yamuna is up-to-date on all shots: Distemper, Rabies. Tested negative for Felv/FIV. Spayed. Microchiped. Litter box trained. Contact 610-324-4726 or catchancerescue@gmail.com to learn more about this kitty. *A "Courtesy Listing" is a posting for a cat that is not part of Cat Chance Rescue. An individual owner or rescuer asked our rescue to post the kitty to give him/her greater exposure and chances for adoption. Cat Chance Rescue does not have any direct knowledge of the cat, his/her behavior, or medical background. The cat is adopted directly from the owner/rescuer, and any fees or agreements are arranged with the mutual consent of the owner and adopter. Cat Chance Rescue is happy to offer COURTESY POSTINGS to help in the search for a loving, permanent home for any needy cat. Adoption Process INCLUDED IN ADOPTION: All out cat(s) and kitten(s) are vaccinated (Distemper, Rabies shots), Spayed/Neutered, tested for FIV/FeLV, microchiped, dewormed and deflead prior to Adoption. Thanks for your interest in adopting your future friend! All of our cats and kittens are housed in individual loving foster homes (not a shelter). Please contact us if you have any questions regarding our cats or kittens and to fill out an Adoption Application, which our adoption coordinator will email to you. Story
Hi my name is Ozzy! I am a very social, affectionate, interactive companion and I love to play a lot. I am 5 years old. I am a Bombay/domestic short fur black mix cat. The Bombay is a highly social breed that loves to be in the company of others. They love being with people! The Bombay breed is intelligent, playful, and attention-seeking. I love catnip toys, strings, and even tennis ball to bounce around. I am also a taker and with a bag of treats you can teach me lots of good things. My foster mom says I am very very smart, and purr very loud. Sometimes you can hear me purring even being in another room. I am a cat with a huge personality I love to be involved into everything you do in the house. I help my foster mom to write emails, post pictures of me, walk all over the keyboard. During a day you can find me catching sun on the sunny windowsill, I love bathing in the Sun and always lay on the sunniest window sill in the house. A bird feeder would be great so I can watch birds on a windowsill. So if you are looking for a very interactive cat with a dog alike personality - I will be your best devoted friend. I am energetic boy, who is busy running around, playing, sticking my little nose into everything you do and checking things around, but after I done playing I just drop on couch with my paws hanging of the couch and take a good nap or climb on your lap. I am sort of that funny always in your face type of a cat, you know. Every one who meets me says I am sort of like a dog: smart and follow you everywhere. I resemble a “miniature black panther”, I am a very social kitty, who loves company of people a lot! Overall, as the Bombay mix cat: I am intelligent, very playful, full of energy and attention-seeking kitty. I have a very soft, plushy black fur and one white spot on a side of my body that looks like letter Z. I am muscular, medium-size cat and quite agile. As a Bombay cat: Ozzy loves people. Expect to find the Bombay hogging the warmest spot in the house. That includes under the covers at bedtime. Most will converse with their people in a distinctive but not loud voice. Bombay cats crave human attention. They have loud purs and very distinct “voices.” Bombays are often good at playing fetch. This is a smart cat who loves to play and will thrive with a family who is willing to teach him tricks, play games with him and provide him with plenty of interactive toys. Do you have room in your home for this wonderful intelligent boy? Contact us. Ozzy is up-to-date on all shots: Distemper, Rabies. Tested negative for FELV/FIV. Dewormed. Litter box trained. Neutered. Microchip Trained to use scratching post, loves corrugated cardboard scratches and cat tree. Ozzy has perfect litter box manners. Contact 610-324-4726 or catchancerescue@gmail.com to learn more about this kitty. More info about Bombay cats on website: http://www.animalplanet.com/tv-shows/cats-101/videos/bombay/ Did you know?
