Story
Warrior is a friendly Bombay mix, about four years old, who belonged to someone who passed away. He was part of a bonded pair who was separated from his buddy, but no one in the family wanted him, as opposed to the other cat, who happened to be all white. Take from that what you will. Meanwhile, Warrior was left unaccompanied in a vacated apartment with only a relative to come by to feed him once in a while and scoop out his litter box. Like his namesake, Warrior is definitely a BIG boy. Unlike his namesake, he's a gentle giant-- when he went to the vet for an exam and to update his shots, everyone was commented on what an enormously friendly boy he was. He's a curl-up-next-to-you cat and a sleep-with-you cat who loves being pet and generally interacting with his foster family. We haven’t seen him around dogs or children yet, but we think a friendly, boy like this would probably do well with them given a proper introduction. We can give you pointers on that. Warrior would do best in an interactive home where he'll get play time and isn’t left alone for long hours. Warrior seems to be an easy cat, suitable for a first-time adopter willing to give him the time and attention a social boy like him needs. He has been neutered, is current on vaccinations, tested negative for FeLV and FIV, and treated for worms and fleas. His adopter will receive his medical records. He’s being fostered in Somerville. Adoptions are facilitated by video meet-and-greets, as well as in-person visits. There is a simple adoption process and an adoption fee, which helps us continue rescuing cats in need. In Warrior's case, it's a mere $225-- a bargain for a new best friend who will love you for the rest of his life. Cats can live up to 20 years, so please consider whether you can commit to providing a safe, loving home for life before adopting. Please respond by saying a little about yourself and the home you would provide. Doing so helps us match cats with the right adopters. Including your phone number is likely to lead to a faster response.

Story
He is about three years old and has a shy, reserved personality. He prefers a calm, quiet home and would do best in a small family maybe with other cats. He gets along well with other cats, and once he feels comfortable, he becomes very playful and affectionate. I just want to make sure he goes to a good, loving home. Unfortunately, I’m no longer able to keep him due to location restrictions.
