Story
Baby is part of a bonded pair with Mitzi. They must be adopted together. They are retired barn cats looking for a warm barn home where they can spend their senior years. Make way for the sweetest submarine you'll ever see! Baby's tail is always up and ready to lead you to the next adventure. She's also a talker and will happily meow to you about how her day has been. Baby's estimated birth date is March 2014, but don't underestimate her! She can keep up with younger cats and spends her nights exploring all over her home, batting toys along the way. She is bonded with her sister, Mitzi, and the two often pounce on each other like kittens. Baby is not picky about her food, but enjoys a combination of wet and dry, and prefers your attention over any treat. Baby is spayed, current on vaccines, tested negative for FeLV and FIV, and has been microchipped. Her adoption fee is sponsored. She must be adopted together with her sister, Mitzi. The two would do best in a quiet home with experienced cat owners.

Story
Meet Yawoong-ee, also known as Meow! This handsome guy has a curious spirit and a touch of shyness. Meow can be a bit cautious with strangers at first, but given time, he warms up and reveals his affectionate side. Meow has experience living with children and will likely enjoy a home with older children and/or adults. At night, he becomes a lively explorer, ready to play and discover. Meow is searching for a patient and loving home where he can continue to thrive. He would benefit from a cat-savvy family. Yawoong-ee has tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). Yawoong-ee can be adopted as a solo cat, or live with other cats (FIV+ is recommended, though living with FIV- cats can be done); this is up to the adopter. If the adopter has any questions about bringing an FIV+ cat into their home, we recommend they speak with their veterinarian.Yawoong-ee is eligible for an Adoption Audition! What is an Adoption Audition? It’s a 5-day, no-strings-attached, trial adoption period. You can take him home to try it out! Interested? Come to the shelter any time during open hours and talk to one of our Customer Care staff! If you`d like to meet our available pets, please check the `shelter information` box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours! Both of our locations are open Tuesdays and Wednesdays 12-5 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays 12-7 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays 11 a.m.-5 p.m. For more information on our adoption process, including requirements and fees, visit: www.fairfaxcounty.gov/animalshelter/adopt

Story
Harold is a friendly, loving, handsome boy! He really enjoys your attention & purrs to let you know. He has the cutest little meow. Harold is used to being around other cats, as he came to us along with other cats from his household. He'll be happy & grateful to be back in a home!  We want to make adopting easy for you! Here’s our application:   https://rappcats.org/adoptions/ Once you complete it, we’re on it! We’ll call your vet (or personal reference) the next business day. Then we like to do a brief video chat (FaceTime if you have it) so you can show us your new pet’s home - where they’ll sleep, eat, and play. During our chat, we can also give you tips or answer questions about how to successfully integrate your new family member into your household, especially if you have other pets. Our adoption fee is $150 and covers our costs of spay/neuter, vaccinations, vet exam, and supplies. (Once old enough, all our cats are current on their shots and have been spayed/neutered.) We’re a strictly no-kill shelter just for cats. We’re cage-free, donation-based, and volunteer-powered. We’re small but special and we’re glad you found us! For more info don’t hesitate to call or text us at 540-987-6050 or email us at adopt@rappcats.org. November 10, 2024, 12:08 pm
