Story
We picked up this sweet girl from a friend who was in crisis and needed to abandon her. She was initially skittish but soon revealed herself to have a feisty, loving personality, curious and exploratory, loving to snuggle and play with string for hours! Unfortunately, she hasn't meshed with our two cats, and there have been territory issues and reactivity amongst them, which led to a scare where she was peeing blood. We took her to the vet, gave her a full run of antibiotics, and have surmised that it's most likely a stress-induced condition, and we've been supplementing with lysine, a Chinese medicine herbal formula, marshmallow root tea (cold overnight steep) & St John's wort/chamomile tea (hot steep) for stress in her powder food. This lovely girl is so ready to have a home she can feel safe and begin to settle in, and needs someone calm and grounded to give her that forever home! She is a very sensitive being, in a good way, and very intelligent and open to communication!

Zuly is such a sweet little female black cat with bright shaped yellow eyes. . I researched and found that these black cats are breeds referred to as “Bombay”. Zuly likes to be petted but a little shy. She could really blossom if she could be with someone who will give her some special attention….. help her feel wanted. She gets along with other cats at the rescue. Other than these few good cat traits, we, at the rescue, don’t know if Zuly would be good with kids or dogs. If you can’t adopt….please consider fostering this beautiful girl so she can have a chance at life in your home. Contact Joy’s Animal Rescue for information or questions.
