Elizabeth is a very pretty and regal gal. She is a medium size kitty with beautiful majestic eyes. Elizabeth gets along fine with other cats. One thing she loves is to run on our cat wheel. She loves showing off how fast she can be. A wheel is not a must as long as there is space for her to exercise her athletic talent. Elizabeth had some challenging situations with humans before she came to us. It causes her to shy away from touch but not food! Ana Lisa is an inquisitive but cautious girl. She will be checking you out, observing you, and then deciding if she likes you or not. She likes other cats and would do great in a home with another more confident cat. With us just placing a cat in an unknown situation quite a few cats get super anxious and decide to hide and observe the new place and family from relative safety. To help the cat accept you and develop a loving bond, you would need to put in some effort, loving care, and patience. We think that Ana Lisa will adjust in 6 to 9 weeks. You would need to keep her in one small room (preferably your bedroom) and spend time just sitting, talking, or even singing to her. Scoot is a very good cat but I cannot keep her anymore. She needs someone who can take care of her, and that is not me. She's a 4 year old (in March) spayed female Calico. Great with other pets and children. She MAY have fleas. I've given flea baths and she's come up clean but I've also seen them on her. I'm trying to get rid of the infestation but for several reasons I am unable to at this time. Because of the fleas she has overgroomed and has skin irritation. It is not severe but still needs treatment. Also due to the stress she had issues using her litter box. She is litter trained and only a year ago did she start going outside of her box which leads me to believe it is stress-related due to her fleas/irritation. I cannot financially support taking her to the vet. I am very sad and ashamed I cannot care for her. She deserves a loving home.
