Story
About six months ago, I took in Ma’at from a close friend who was no longer able to care for her due to health issues. I agreed to help because there was concern she might otherwise be surrendered to a shelter and possibly euthanized. Unfortunately, due to ongoing asthma flare-ups, Im no longer able to provide the care Ma’at deserves. Ma’at is very shy , but a total sweet heart once she warms up too you :) P.S. she is an expert at hiding .

Story
Please meet Cole. This very friendly and loving fella loves to play. He is black with a white patch under his chin and 3 white toes on his back left foot. After a play session all he wants is some affection and to lay on your lap for a nap. He was born in March of 2024. He has been neutered & is up to date on his vaccinations. This animal is being fostered in the South but transport to a location near you is included in your adoption fee. We use Rescue Riders Pet Transport,...(www.rescueridersllc.net), the most animal-friendly transport on the road.

Story
Black Velvet lives with her sister Skittle, and they are both solid black, but 'Velvet' has an old scar on her head. Rescued near Manassas, she and her sister are learning to trust humans in a safe place, and she is beginning to make progress. You can pet her and she is food motivated so that helps in her trust department. She would be a project cat that you will most certainly be able to make progress when she gets to her forever home.

Story
🖤 Meet Vlad — your future best couch companion. Vlad is a handsome adult Bombay black shorthair with a big heart and an even bigger love for people. He’s super friendly, outgoing, and absolutely adores being petted. If you’re nearby, Vlad wants to be too. This sweet boy is the kind of cat who will happily choose his window or couch spot and make it his official snuggle station. He enjoys human company, thrives on affection, and brings a calm, comforting presence to the home. One of the best things about adopting an adult cat like Vlad? What you see is what you get. He already has his manners, his personality is fully formed, and he’s past the wild kitten stage. No chaos, no constant supervision — just a settled, predictable house cat who knows how to relax and be a loving companion. Vlad would make a wonderful addition to a home looking for an easygoing, affectionate, low-maintenance friend who simply wants to be part of your daily life. If you’re ready for a loyal lap buddy with polished house skills, Vlad is waiting. 🐾🖤

Story
This sweet, cuddly, silly, and "Sassy Man" is looking for a home of his own with no other pets or kids. He's a shy guy with anxiety who would love a pet parent(s) who can relate, and show him patience. He grows more confident every day and has become a lap cat during movie or reading time. He lets me give him kisses now and is getting comfortable with getting picked up. This obviously former house cat arrived at my door in Nov 2023. He was emaciated and wasn't going to make it. I started feeding him, fell in love with him, and brought him inside. Sassafras had perineal urethrostomy surgery in Dec 2024 after a bad feline lower urinary tract disease episode. That, a urinary tract diet, and being separated from my other cats, has resolved his issues. I have 3 cats and he is bullied by one of them. Yes, I've "tried it all" and nothing has worked. For his health, I keep him separated, but it breaks my heart and I know he misses sleeping on my bed and being out and about in the house.

Story
Nala (born 05/05/2023) is a sweet, gentle young adult cat looking for a calm, loving home. She bonds closely with her person and enjoys quiet companionship, cozy blankets, and resting nearby. Nala does best with routine and a peaceful environment where she can feel safe. She is spayed, fully vaccinated (3-year vaccines), healthy, and indoor-only. Nala would thrive as the only pet, as she becomes stressed around other animals. In the right home, she is affectionate, loyal, and a wonderful companion. Due to a recent cancer diagnosis and upcoming surgery, I am unable to provide the level of care and stability Nala deserves during this time. This decision is being made with love to ensure she has the best possible home.

Story
Adopted from Alley Cat Allies 6 years ago. Probably 12 to 14 yo. Front declawed. Cannot go outside. Gentle and affectionate. Has had problems with the litter pan from the beginning, and I have tried everything to remediate the problem. I am looking for a person that can give her love like I do but can also teach her to use a litter pan. I am very attached to her but can no longer do the work that is required to properly care for her.
