Story
Hermes original owner got sick and was unable to care for him, so I took over temporarily and now have to rehome. I have not been able to give him the activity his breed craves and needs, while he is happy, he does not have the life he deserves. Since this was temporary, I am having to rehome now due to landlord issues. He is a very smart boy, and is very loving once he is comfortable. He is dog reactive as he was attacked when he was young, and can be generally scared of strangers. Once he warms up to you he is extremely cuddly and loving, but it will take some time. He is high energy and strong, so I recommend no kids but he has never met a child older than a year old. However he has done very very well with the baby in our house, of course under high supervision.

I’m a one-year-old Blue Tick Coonhound mix, and though I’ve had a bit of a unique start in life, I’m absolutely brimming with hope and excitement for the future. Now, I must tell you a little secret—well, it’s not really a secret at all. You see, I’m deaf. But oh, don’t you worry! That just makes me even more determined to learn, to grow, and to be the best companion you could ever dream of. I need someone with patience, someone who’ll take the time to teach me in a way that suits me. If you’re up for the challenge, I promise to reward you with loyalty and joy beyond measure. I simply adore other dogs! They’re my best friends, my confidants, my playmates! And people? Well, let’s just say I’ve never met a person I didn’t want to smother with tail wags and affection. Cats, though, are a different story—they’re just not my cup of tea. Now here’s the fun part: I’m absolutely, positively, over the moon food-motivated. Training sessions with tasty treats?
