To apply to adopt this dog now, complete our adoption application   HERE To see our upcoming events where you can meet some of our dogs, please see   HERE Age: 1.5 years (as of 12/27/24) Weight: 49 lbs (as of 2/6/25) Location: RI This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped. Meet Mikayla, a young, sweet, friendly, gentle, playful, and smart dog. Her personality is as bright as a summer's day, radiating warmth and joy to everyone she meets. Mikayla recently stepped into the role of motherhood, handling her new responsibilities with grace and patience. She did a great job raising her pups, by giving them lots of love and attention and now that they are ready for their fur-ever homes, it's Mikayla's turn for happiness. She has a heart that seems to know no bounds, extending her love to other dogs, cats, and children. She can be cautious around some dogs and may need a slow introduction.  She may bark at other dogs while on leash.  Mikayla is crate trained and needs a little work on housetraining and walking on the leash. Playful yet gentle, Mikayla is the perfect blend of fun and tranquility. She is a smart girl and basic group training classes are recommended to help her learn commands, socialize with other humans and dogs, as well as build that fur-ever bond with you! Her heart is as big as her personality, and she is ready to share it with a family who will cherish her as much as she will cherish them. An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see   HERE   for more information about this. Blue’s Dream Home: Blue is looking for a loving forever home where he can share cuddles, playtime, and endless love with his new family. Blue was hit by a car as a puppy and this resulted in some hind end weakness but this doesn't dampen his spirit. If you’re ready to make Blue part of your family, please fill out an adoption application by copying and pasting this link into your browser: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/BRO/Dog Blue can’t wait to meet you! 🐾 The adoption fee is $350. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.

Story
Arlo is a hound-lover's hound, He's come along way since his rescue last Summer and is looking for a home that will be a good fit. Arlo has settled into his foster home without any problem. He's very sweet and affectionate and enjoys being with his people. Arlo likes routine and he has a lot of good habits. He's housebroken, he settles nicely into his crate, sleeps well at night, and walks well on a leash. He enjoys napping in the sunshine but needs a few good long walks each day. Arlo will do well living with another dog that is not a toy breed. He doesn't engage in a lot of active play but does enjoy having another dog around - a senior dog would be ok too. He has some separation anxiety and would do well in a home where someone is home a lot. Arlo is about 4.5 yrs old and weighs about 50 lbs.

Story
Hi my name is Human League, but my foster parents call me Hugh for short! I am almost 16 weeks old.  My foster parents say I am adorable and docile. I get along with all animals small and big. I’m working on my potty training. I like to have my crate in my foster parents room, that way I sleep all throughout the night. Right now I love prancing in the snow and often get big bursts of zooooomies. I love to play with my doggy siblings and my plushies. My foster parents think I would be a great addition to a family with kids to entertain and love me!March 1, 2025, 2:39 pm

adoption donation : $699 weight 34 lbs Age 5 months as of 3/24           Sweet  Gretel and her three sisters, Eva, Schatzi and Freya, were left in the driveway at the Wags rescue in Mississippi, an all too common occurrence. At first we consider them shepherd mixes, but in a dog scanning app, they appear to be more Catahoula leopard dogs with plott hound—definitely mixes of several medium size breeds.     The puppies have been having a grand time playing together and snuggling in a puppy pile to nap. They have all been spayed and given their vaccines and are ready for loving homes. All of the girls are around 35 pounds, they were born in late October. They are friendly and loving and will make great family dogs.    Wags is a struggling 501(c) 3 where one woman in rural Mississippi takes care of about 150 homeless and stray dogs.  Adoption donations are the only source of funding for the rescue. Adoption fee includes the transport from Mississippi, vaccines, microchip and spay and neuter at one of the clinics we use.   adoption donation : $599 weight  45 lbs  Age 9 months as of 3/15          Wyatt is a sweet and friendly boy who is great with other dogs and loves everyone he meets. He was found all alone in a pasture in a rural part of Mississippi in an area known for dumping dogs. When the Wags director spotted him and called out, Wyatt came running over tail wagging.      At the rescue, Wyatt had a grand time romping with all the dogs and snuggling up together for puppy power naps. Wyatt recently arrived at his foster home in the northeast and settled in quickly. He is a very mellow and chill boy! He adores his foster parents, loves toys and is housebroken and walks well on a leash. He won’t run off if he is off leash, he just loves to be with his people. He is a favorite at the local dog park, Wyatt just gets along with everybody!     Wyatt is neutered and up-to-date on his vaccines.
