Story
Treeing Walker Coonhound 8 years old Male 100 pounds Kids · 8+ Dogs · Yes Cats · No What My Friends Say About Me: I’m a big, talkative dog with a strong bark and lots of love to give. I get along with dogs of all sizes, though my bark can sometimes cause misunderstandings. I’m an adventurer at heart, but I also cherish my rest and relaxation. I’m gentle and affectionate, ready to shower you with tail wags and kisses. The Type of Home I’m Looking For: I need a calm, patient family who understands my big bark and respects my space. A home without cats is best due to my natural hunting instincts. I’d thrive with older kids (8+) who won’t be scared by my bark and can give me the gentle love I need. I’d enjoy a mix of light adventures and plenty of time to relax and recharge. My adoption fee is $200 and includes neuter, microchip & registration, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Story
Hello, my name is Sasha! Despite being in a beagle rescue, I’m a Treeing Walker Coonhound, about 7 years old and more significant than the average beagle (~50lbs). I was abandoned by my previous people, and the kind people at CBR stepped in to help me because there wasn’t a good alternative for me in the County I was found in. I am a good girl deserving of a loving family. I’ve been with a few foster families but haven’t found the right one yet. Because of my past I am very fearful of new people and need someone who understands the type of environment I need to be my happy, loving best self. My last foster family took me on many hikes, and the little human taught me tricks and read me bedtime stories every night. My preference is to be in a home with no other (young) dogs, I might do well with another dog with low energy, and cats, well, they are not for me (I am a hound, after all). Because I can’t find a foster home right now I am being cared for at a kennel. I don’t know how long I will be able to stay here. If you want to learn more about me please contact Gennyfer so she can fill you in on my full story. Sasha is a special case, therefore, if you are interested in adopting Sasha, please contact Gennyfer Santel, President of Cascade Beagle Rescue before submitting an application. Gennyfer can be reached at (503) 894-1818 or by email at gennyfer@cascaderescue.org.

Story
Meet Brando- the sweetest, cutest little puppy in the world. Brando is 100% snuggles, sunshine and good times, just a little puppy looking for his forever family. We think Brando is a German Shepherd, Catahoula mix, though he is a rescue, so exact age and breed are a mystery. He’s around five months old, and still has quite a few of his puppy teeth! He weighs in just under thirty pounds right now, but he’s still growing! Watch Brando here: https://youtu.be/cQb2ondiOqY Brando is your typical puppy, all about naps, snuggles, playtime and food! He loves treats, and he takes them so gently already! Brando shows tons of signs that he’ll be a good dog when he grows up. He’s not mouthy, he’s learning his leash skills quickly, and he’s great at checking in with his humans during play time. He calms down quickly when playtime is over, and then it’s straight to snuggles. He’s confident and affectionate, and will climb up on the couch with you for some love! Brando LOVES belly rubs. With other dogs, Brando is all play! He’s super friendly with other dogs and instant BFFs with anyone that will indulge him in a game of chase. Here at the rescue, we cat tested Brando. Brando was playful, but not reactive toward our house cat Tom. See his full cat test in his YouTube video. Our behavior team believes that Brando could live in a house with kitties, so long as another dog is present to teach him proper kitty-etiquete. Brando is still young so he will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. His new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. We are willing to test him with anything you need us to in order to ensure he’s the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen- just let us know. With any specific questions, please reach out to his adoption coordinator, whose email is linked below. We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success. Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!
