Story
My name is Arden, I am a 4 month-old Blue Tick Hound Mix. I am a very playful, spunky, little girl and so full of energy. When I do get tired, I just want to snuggle and curl up next to you and sleep. I especially love my bones and stuffed toys. I am making great progress with potty training, and I do well if I am taken out on a regular schedule. I sleep in my crate overnight and only wake up once during the night to go outside. My foster parents help me by putting a light blanket over my crate at night, so that I calm down and sleep. When it's time to go into my crate I go in with no problem as I know that my foster parents are going to give me a treat. I love my treats, and I am very food-motivated! I love to play outside with my foster siblings and run around the backyard. I have been around big dogs and small dogs, and I love kids! My foster parents do have a cat, I am curious about him, but he wants nothing to do with me, but I don’t chase him. My favorite hobbies are playing with bones, chewing sticks, and stuffed toys. I will do well with an active family who wants to play with me! My foster parents have also been training me to swim in their pool. Visit ruffredemption.org to complete an application. All Ruff Redemption Dogs are spayed/neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. They also receive a minimum of two distemper/parvo vaccines, medication for the treatment and prevention of intestinal worms, and monthly heart worm/flea prevention while in our care. Rabies vaccines are given if the dog is 16 weeks of age or older.  November 21, 2024, 12:16 am

Story
Meet August - our lovable, snuggly, beautiful ball of joy! August is a 16 week-old Blue Tick hound mix who steals the hearts of everyone she meets. August is a wonderful companion for other dogs, children, and adults, and adores having playmates of any kind!  August’s favorite things are snuggling with her people (she waits all day for this!), sunbathing in the grass, playing with her toys, and interacting with others. She loves to chase an ice cube around the house, fetch her squeaky ball, and entertain herself with her stuffed animals!  August has perfected simple commands, such as “sit,” “come here,” and “touch,” and loves the comfort of her crate. Her favorite place to nap (other than in her humans’ arms!) is the pantry floor or curled up next to other dogs. August stays by her people when outside and loves meeting new friends. She never misses the opportunity to watch a bird fly across the sky, smell the flowers in the yard, or wag her tail in anticipation of pets and scratches! August is crate trained and doing really well on potty trained with frequent outings. Active companion animal required in her forever home. Story
This adorable pup is Riot! He arrived at the shelter as a lost boy with ID on 11/10, and no one has come to reclaim him. We're surprised no one is missing Riot because he is such an awesome little guy! And his name is quite fitting because he is so much fun; very active and playful! He does settle down for treats, and he'll work for them. Before you commit to a young dog, please make sure you have the time, patience, and energy for them. They're awfully cute, but they're also a lot of work! Riot needs an active family who will spend time making sure he is physically and mentally stimulated so that he can be his best self. Riot is approximately 10 months old, and he weighs approximately 44 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines, and he has been neutered and microchipped. He will be heartworm tested upon adoption. Riot is waiting in run 808; his ID # is 6133. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.
