Story
Hi my name is Human League, but my foster parents call me Hugh for short! I am almost 16 weeks old.  My foster parents say I am adorable and docile. I get along with all animals small and big. I’m working on my potty training. I like to have my crate in my foster parents room, that way I sleep all throughout the night. Right now I love prancing in the snow and often get big bursts of zooooomies. I love to play with my doggy siblings and my plushies. My foster parents think I would be a great addition to a family with kids to entertain and love me!March 1, 2025, 2:39 pm

Story
DIAMOND IN THE RUFF: Honcho found his way to ARF when his family could no longer care for him. Honcho is a very excited and happy boy with an anxious side to him, the way to his heart is when you have some tasty treats (specifically freeze-dried treats). He is a very sweet and affectionate dog, but you must go slowly with him in the beginning due to his anxiety. With time and patience, he will prove to be an amazing companion, and he will show you his beautiful personality. Extra caution should be taken in situations where his anxiety is very high, he may try to bolt or run. Honcho is on the friendlier side of being selective with his dog friends, which means he will do best with a calmer dog in the home. In his previous home the other dog living in the home was not nice to him, so it caused him to be a little cautious with new canine friends. We are certain that with the right owner, Honcho will thrive in his new home! Honcho is currently in a foster home but available for adoption. Please contact the adoptions team to meet him. HONCHOS NEEDS: Cat selective * Dog selective *Quiet home * Needs mental and physical enrichment * Daily Anxiety Medication*

To apply to adopt this dog now, complete our adoption application   HERE To see our upcoming events where you can meet some of our dogs, please see   HERE Age: 1.5 years (as of 12/27/24) Weight: 49 lbs (as of 2/6/25) Location: RI This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped. Meet Mikayla, a young, sweet, friendly, gentle, playful, and smart dog. Her personality is as bright as a summer's day, radiating warmth and joy to everyone she meets. Mikayla recently stepped into the role of motherhood, handling her new responsibilities with grace and patience. She did a great job raising her pups, by giving them lots of love and attention and now that they are ready for their fur-ever homes, it's Mikayla's turn for happiness. She has a heart that seems to know no bounds, extending her love to other dogs, cats, and children. She can be cautious around some dogs and may need a slow introduction.  She may bark at other dogs while on leash.  Mikayla is crate trained and needs a little work on housetraining and walking on the leash. Playful yet gentle, Mikayla is the perfect blend of fun and tranquility. She is a smart girl and basic group training classes are recommended to help her learn commands, socialize with other humans and dogs, as well as build that fur-ever bond with you! Her heart is as big as her personality, and she is ready to share it with a family who will cherish her as much as she will cherish them. An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see   HERE   for more information about this. Story
This sweet boy was literally a deal dog walking at a local vet. Owners wanted him to be put down. They were having a baby and already had 2 big dogs when they added Brody . So he was last one in their home so he was the first to be "voted off the island"! This guy is very affectionate, playful, crate trained, house trained. Seems to warm up to women quicker than men but has done great with our male volunteers.
