I was cruising around the streets in Central Utah when the local Sheriff’s office decided that wasn’t a good thing. There was the old good cop/bad cop routine because I came into their holding pen packin’. I played along and answered their questions. Name: Olive M age: 2 1/2 yrs breed: Heeler/Hound mix (best guess) weight: 42 lbs. I wouldn’t give in to the question of how much I was packing, (I didn’t know!). The Sheriff knew I couldn’t stay and an arrangement was made for me to go to a rescue and that’s how I came to be with Rescue Rovers and my fosters. I’m so glad they took me in! I’m no longer packing pups; I delivered 6 beautiful pups and now I’m looking for my forever home. I’m house trained and walk well on a leash with the right collar. I’m timid with people I haven’t met but once I know & trust you I will be by your side and a good companion. I LOVE to play fetch! Being a submissive dog, a firm but gentle hand will do for me with encouragement to get me to follow your direction. My energy level is med-high. I need a home with children 8 and older because I’m unsure of younger kids; their movements are scary for me. I’m a hound mix and small animals are prey to me so no cats please!! I may be a little tripod, but I’m big on cuddles and playing tug. I’m a pro at dropping and laying down for love. I adore all people, kids, and dogs my size or smaller. I spent some time on the streets, so I’m a bit guarded with new dogs at first, but I warm up once I get to know them. I’m crate and potty trained, and though I sometimes mess up, can you really stay mad at me? At 4 years old and weighing a full-grown 35 lbs, I’m as sweet as my name suggests!   I am a highly affectionate dog and thrive on love and cuddles from my foster parents.  I also adore the other doggies in my foster home and even raised 7 adorable puppies! Now it's my turn! I am completely potty trained and I feel right at home in my cozy kennel, so I'm easy to have around! I know how to use a dog door and I absolutely love going for walks and playing fetch—though I must admit, I enjoy watching my humans retrieve the ball for me even more!
