Rehoming Two Blue Lacy Puppies – May and June We’re looking for loving, forever homes for our two sweet Blue Lacy sisters, May and June. Adopted from a rescue shelter in August, they are now about 9 months old. Initially labeled as Weimaraner mixes, we discovered they are actually Blue Lacies—a highly intelligent, energetic, and loyal breed. While adopting these two adorable sisters seemed like the perfect idea, we’ve learned from trainers that raising littermates together—especially sisters—can lead to challenges that are difficult for their development and well-being. For their sake, we’ve made the difficult decision to rehome both dogs to separate homes where they can thrive as individuals. Rose is a sweet dog that we found in early January. After exhausting all of our options with our city and county lost/found groups, we have decided to rehome her. She is dominantly blue lacy in temperament. She is gentle and loves to be a lap dog. When she is in the mood to run and play, she is extremely active. She runs very fast and loves to chase birds, the frisbee kong, and can jump pretty dang high! We unfortunately do not have the appropriate yard space for her. She needs a large yard or land to run. The breed prefers to have some kind of job and feel useful. They are also supposed to be helpful with hunting, but we are not hunters so I do not know that is true for her. We are having her spayed, vaccinated, and chipped through local Emancipet services on January 29. We can keep her until then, but ideally would love to have her ready to go to her forever family.
