Hi! I'm Sapphire! I'm an approximately 3 year old, female, Blue Lacy/Lab mix who weighs about 65lbs. I was surrendered to the shelter on 12/16/2024 because my owners could no longer care for me. I was adopted and returned due to my inability to accept the cats in the home. So now I am once again available for adoption and hoping to find my fur-ever family soon! I am a sweet and social girl who loves people! I do well taking baths and walking on a leash. I am smart and sassy and love to play! I am absolutely obsessed with toys and stuffed animals. When I find one I like, I'm not likely to let it go. I will need a family who has time to work on my basic training and has the patients and love to give me as I learn and adapt to a new environment. Due to being shuffled around and being displaced for the last few months, understandably I have some anxiety when in a new home. I do not like wire kennels so a plastic one is suggested to help me learn the rules of the home and the daily routine of my new family. I like to jump up and give hugs, but it is all about giving love to my people. I have done well with other dogs, but I can be dominant and not every dog appreciates my confidence. if you already have a furry companion at home, a meet and greet is very much encouraged to make sure we get along before taking me home. I do not do well with small dogs, small mammals or cats. Dogs my size or larger only please! My adoption fee is $125. I am spayed, microchipped, current on my rabies vaccine and basic boosters, and I am heartworm negative! Blue is the Texas state dog. She is very loving and protective, house-trained. She does not jump on furniture and is very good with kids. She is a hunting dog by nature and likes to be kept active, she also enjoys brisk walks. Hoping to find a home with a big yard so she can chase after squirrels and rabbits. Blue just had her wellness check, is in good health, and is up to date with all her shots as of December 2nd.

Story
Duke is a loving guy who weighs just under 70lbs.  He is a sweetheart.  Shy at first but once he opens his heart, he will totally capture yours! His playfulness and energy does not show his age.  He's still got all the pep in his step and loves to play!  Tug of War is his favorite game.  He loves to chase balls and zoom around the yard like a puppy at times.  Duke loves sunbathing, walks great on a leash and does well in the car.  Snacks are definately one of his favoritest things ever. Duke is crate trained, potty trained, knows basic commands and even does well getting his nails done and visiting the vet.He is very treat and toy motivated and it brings him much joy to make his humans happy! NO CATS or small animals for Duke please.  He does well with other, friendly dogs with slow introduction.  He can have intense, playful energy but for the right dog, would make a great companion.  Duke would also be more than happy being the only pet in the home.  Duke prefers older (if any) children.  The "chaos" that sometimes comes with smaller children in a home, make him nervous and he will try to get away from them.  He does great with older or more experienced children. He loves to share the bed with his people, and will always let you know if there is a stranger at the gate or someone at the door!  Duke is big, strong and often clumsy, but he is also a love and a joy to spend time with. He is neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped.  Duke is heartworm negative and on ProHeart 12 for heartworm prevention. He is totally set until November 2025! I was part of a litter of 6 puppies that was found and now it is just me and my sister. I love attention and love to be praised! I am a good girl looking for a furr ever home. I have grown up around other dogs but if you have one in the home, a meet and greet is encouraged to make sure we get along. I love to run and play and love kids. I play hard but nap even harder. Meet Littlefoot! This little tripod is one of the sweetest pups you’ll ever meet. She was found as a stray along with her puppies in South Texas a few months ago. Since rescuing her, we have gotten her fully vetted which included amputating her front limb, as she was born with a deformity that was causing her some pain. She’s a little over a year old, good with dogs, but prefers a mellow companion. She’s extremely sweet with people and would like to be a cuddle partner for hours on end. She’s also potty trained and crate trained. She has not been cat tested so unfortunately, we do not know how she would do with kitties. Because Littlefoot was a "street dog" the first year of her life, new things can be scary at first. So we will require a patient leader that can teach her that the world is not a scary place. Our trainer will be happy to continue to work with her on confidence building once she enters into your home, as all of our pups come with 3 free at home sessions with one of our trainers.
