Story
Rehoming Two Blue Lacy Puppies – May and June We’re looking for loving, forever homes for our two sweet Blue Lacy sisters, May and June. Adopted from a rescue shelter in August, they are now about 9 months old. Initially labeled as Weimaraner mixes, we discovered they are actually Blue Lacies—a highly intelligent, energetic, and loyal breed. While adopting these two adorable sisters seemed like the perfect idea, we’ve learned from trainers that raising littermates together—especially sisters—can lead to challenges that are difficult for their development and well-being. For their sake, we’ve made the difficult decision to rehome both dogs to separate homes where they can thrive as individuals. About May & June: Location: Austin, TX Breed: Blue Lacy (Texas State Dog) Age: ~9 months Health: Spayed and microchipped Training: House-trained and crate-trained, know basic commands like “sit” Temperament: Intelligent, energetic, and full of love Needs: More focused training

Story
Rose is a sweet dog that we found in early January. After exhausting all of our options with our city and county lost/found groups, we have decided to rehome her. She is dominantly blue lacy in temperament. She is gentle and loves to be a lap dog. When she is in the mood to run and play, she is extremely active. She runs very fast and loves to chase birds, the frisbee kong, and can jump pretty dang high! We unfortunately do not have the appropriate yard space for her. She needs a large yard or land to run. The breed prefers to have some kind of job and feel useful. They are also supposed to be helpful with hunting, but we are not hunters so I do not know that is true for her. We are having her spayed, vaccinated, and chipped through local Emancipet services on January 29. We can keep her until then, but ideally would love to have her ready to go to her forever family.

Story
`Levi arrived without any history, so lucky him, he`s landed a foster home so we can find out all about his best traits. Besides being a great cuddly, playful companion and family member, check out what we’ve learned:~~ First off, he’s a perfect medium size of less than 40lbs, ideal for many home types~~Levi’s personality is described as “smart and sensitive”, he wants to please his people and that means he can adapt and learn new things easily~~Levi has done well in one living arrangement with another dog and passes dogs outside nicely~~Levi is able to manage a long day between potty breaks. He also knows how to use a doggie door if you have one. If he`ll be left alone long periods, he`ll appreciate his new people understanding that he needs to know you, as his new people, will be coming back when you leave him, and as with all new fur family members, please plan to allow an adjustment period for him to learn this and the new routines in your place ~~Levi loves walks and runs and if you do too, he’ll be happy to oblige you. He loves walks so much he may get a little zoomie in afterward. He’s calm on a leash but please excuse him if he gets a little starry-eyed for squirrels, which leads in this…~~His fav toy is a tree trunk with 3 stuffed squirrels tucked inside that he can dig out and toss around ~~Levi has been in cat training and he’s undecided if he wants a feline as a fur sibling so check in for updatesAre you ready to fall in love all over again? Story
Hello everybody, My name is Mica - it means "loved friend". How cool is that??!! So my story is sad one. You see, I spent the majority of my life chained, starving and repeatedly bred. I was constantly on the defense, protecting my young pups and nearly non-existent food as best I could. Thank goodness someone stepped in and turned these awful "waste of air" beings into the authorities. I was now a court ordered seizure. When a dog is seized, it is because they are so neglected that death is eminent. Without intervention, I would have been sent over the rainbow bridge. Thank God for Lucies angels!! My condition was so bad, that I had to stay hospitalized for nearly 2 weeks. Fortunately for me, I was in better shape than the others that I was seized with :( Despite all of this horror, I still have faith in and love people. People like you! I am a dominant female, so I would be best suited for a submissive male, or be an only dog where I can shower my family with love. Being a Lacy, I kinda do like to have a job to do, but not always. I am fun loving and like to run and play. I do have my stubborn moments as well but hey, don't we all?? Inquire about me won't you?? I'm ready for you to take me home!! *** We strive to ensure our dogs are going to a safe, loving and caring home. Phone interviews are required for all adoptions****
