Story
Hello! This is 6 month old Patrick. He is the last of a litter of puppies we fostered and he's very excited to go to a good home. He has lived indoors and is house trained! He's very calm and kind yet playful. Great with other dogs and people, really loves to cuddle! He's quiet and hardly barks. Knows some tricks such as sit and stay. He loves playing fetch and enjoys the water. Very easy to bath, walk, and play with. He is completely up to date with his shots and had a healthy vet check up last month.

Story
OPTIMISTIC GOOFBALL  Estimated date of birth is 8/8/22, weight 55 lbs.   So what is a Blue Lacy, you might ask? Why, it’s the State Dog of Texas, of course!  https://www.thesprucepets.com/blue-lacy-breed-profile-4769790 Kip is a fun junky that loves to play with other dogs (sometimes it looks like Wrestlemania), but his second favorite activity is to hang out with his foster mom, chewing on a good bone.  He’s such a goofball, always optimistic, always sure that a treat is hiding in your pocket and it has his name on it!  A sweet potato – yes.   A couch potato – not so much, although when he’s finally worn out, he does relax and loves to be petted while he snoozes on his dog cot. Kip has been to obedience school and knows the basics (Sit, Down, Place, Wait).  He also knows how to use the doggy door and stairs, is OK with baths (he splashes around in the pond at the dog park), and looooves to go on walks (and doesn’t pull much). This boy had a rough first year of his life: abandoned at a large park, found his way to a kennel, was picked up by the City Pound, caught parvo at the pound and wound up on the euthanasia list before his foster mom sprung him!  Kip’s ideal home environment would have a mom / dad with an active lifestyle, a spunky little canine sister to play and snuggle with, and a nice size backyard to run around and get the zoomies out.  Are you up for it!? HOPE ID: D24-0113-0003 If you are interested in Kip and would like to fill out a Dog Adoption Application, please go to: http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/dog-adoption.php. Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt from us but it initiates contact with us and gets the process started. If you have questions prior to filling out the application, email us at lisagilchrist16@gmail.com and a volunteer will get back to you.February 8, 2025, 12:33 am

Story
Hi, I’m Jax! I’m a 16-month-old Blue Lacy mix (or at least that’s what the humans think!) weighing in at 55 pounds of pure love and energy. I’m on the hunt for my forever family—could it be you? I’m a happy, playful pup who LOVES being around people. Whether we’re going on an adventure, playing fetch, or just hanging out, I’ll always be by your side. I’m always up for fun and would make an amazing hiking buddy, jogging partner, or sidekick for any adventure. I love staying active and engaged, and I’d be thrilled to find a family who enjoys that too! I get along with other playful dogs who match my energy, but cats? Not so much—sorry, feline friends! I’ve been through puppy training, I know my basic commands, and I even have e-collar training, so I’m a smart boy who’s eager to please. If you’re looking for a fun, loyal, and adventure-ready best friend, I’m ready to meet you! Apply to adopt me at bigloverescue.org
