Story
Jersey is an absolute sweetheart! From the moment you meet her, she captures your heart with her lovable nature.
She gets along well with other dogs and enjoys running and playing with them outside. Whether she’s chasing after a toy, catching a frisbee, or zooming around the yard, Jersey is full of energy and fun. But she also loves to relax, often curling up for a nap with her family. She’s a cuddle bug who adores belly rubs and gives plenty of puppy kisses. Her favorite toys include chew toys, bones, soft squeaky toys (especially her stuffed rabbit), and she loves playing chase and fetch.
Jersey is great in the car—she rides quietly, doesn’t get car sick, and enjoys the journey. One of the cutest things she does is play catch by herself—tossing up little toys, sticks, or even clumps of grass and catching them while hopping around. It’s absolutely adorable!
She can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once she warms up, she’s incredibly affectionate. If you sit down at her level, she’ll happily crawl into your lap, roll over for belly rubs, and shower you with love.
Jersey is making great progress with house training—she’s had two accident-free days and has started going to the door when she needs to go out. She’s also a fast learner, already mastering “sit,” “leave it,” and “go potty.”
Jersey needs a forever home with patient, loving owners who will help her feel comfortable in her new surroundings. She may not be the type to run up to strangers right away, but with time, she’ll show her sweet and playful personality.
Jersey along with her mom and siblings were abadnoned in NC during the cold snap with no where to go. A good samaritan brought them to a shelter in NC to get the safe. Her mom was about 29 pounds. When FHDR heard about Jersey, we transported her to NJ to live in a foster home. She is about 12-14 week old.
