He was severely underweight when found but he is gaining weight in foster. He is very charming despite his sad past, and is learning to trust humans. He is currently in foster with 2 other small breed dogs. He likes having his paw held until he falls asleep. In foster he has blossomed in a fun an goofy dog. Story
Meet Scarecrow, You may have seen him and his siblings make headlines when Paws Patrol LV rescued 4 Dobermans from the streets. These dogs were listed for euthanasia at the animal shelter for being fearful. It does not look like these animals have had a good life, they were all severely under weight and covered in scars. It does not seem like they had any experience with human kindness, so being afraid was an understandable reaction. As scared as he was, Scarecrow NEVER showed aggression towards humans. He is currently still pretty afraid of leashes but is making huge strides towards overcoming that as he learns to trust humans. These pup were estimated to be 1-2years old but Scarecrow has an all puppy personality! With an extremely happy-go-lucky attitude everything is exciting, and being that he hasn't been in a home for long everything is new! Scarecrow still had many puppy behaviors, but is very easy to correct and will likely be very easy to train should he find an owner that wants to pursue advanced training. He is very intelligent, food motivated, and eager to please. Scarecrow is currently in foster with cats and other dogs his size. His biggest problem getting along with any of them has been him not knowing his own size yet! He is still learning not to bonk into others, or step on his sleeping siblings. He is friendly towards the cats and LOVES playing with other dogs, but has some issues with resource guarding that needs to be ironed out with training and patience. Scarecrow is truly a bundle of fun and could fit into many families! Scarecrow would enjoy a large family with lots of people to entertain and play with him, but would also be ok as an only dog or with a single person who is dedicated to him. Currently both Scarecrow and his brother Tin Man are still looking for their forever homes of the 4 rescued by Paws Patrol LV.
