Story
Meet Barnaby. Everyone on our team is OBSESSED with this velvet eared hunk. He is a VERY long term resident looking for a foster or forever home for the Holidays. He is looking for an adult only home without other animals. Barnaby is a handsome, 2 year old, male, Bloodhound mixed breed. He requires a dog savvy family with experience with his breed. Sadly, he spent his 2nd birthday in a cage and our hearts are breaking for him the longer he waits to be adopted. He’s a very good boy that just needs to find the right people for him. He is up to date on vaccinations and has been neutered. Please consider opening your home to this very deserving dog. You won't regret it!  Photo 2: Traer Scott Photography *PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO STRINGENT OUT OF STATE HEALTH CERTIFICATE REQUIREMENTS WE ARE NOW ONLY ADOPTING TO RHODE ISLAND RESIDENTS*. We apologize for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, due to past issues with landlords/housing/insurance, a restricted breed policy is in place for Bully breed/Pit Bull type dogs. This means that you must own your home and provide proof of homeownership to adopt a Bully breed/Pit Bull dog or puppy. While we understand that this may be an inconvenience, it is necessary to help reduce the number of devastated dogs being returned. We apologize for the inconvenience. HOW TO GO ABOUT ADOPTING: 1. Come in during adoption hours to apply and full out an application completely. We have applications on site. Open adoption hours take place at 44 Worthington Road in Cranston, RI. We are open every Wednesday 3-7pm and Saturday 10am-2pm. 2. We require proof of homeownership (tax form, deed, mortgage statement) or landlord approval (a copy of your lease that clearly states you are allowed to have a dog, puppy, cat, or kitten OR written and signed consent from your landlord. 3. We require copies of up to date vet records for any current pets. Helpful reminders: *We do not do same day adoptions. *Please bring the entire family in to meet the animal you are interested in. *We will setup a meet and greet with your dog at a later date. PLEASE do not bring your dog with you when you come in to apply.

Story
Juniper is a sweet playful girl. She could spend hours running around and sniffing everything and anything, so a fenced in yard would be best for this large gal. You'll find that this spunky pup loves treats and is sure to tell you all about it in true hound fashion. With a high prey drive, cats in the home are a no go for this girl. Juniper has lived successfully with another dog in the past, so she may do well with another dog of similar size and energy as her in her new home as well. Teens + would be the best match for Juniper as she can be a little demanding and is a large gal. If you're looking for a true loyal companion who would be a fantastic hiking companion, Juniper is your girl!

Story
Fern is a bit of a shy girl. She may take a little while to warm up to you, but she is sure to be a true loyal companion. This girl may like food just a little too much, so a home as the only pet and Teens + would be the best match for her. Fern could spend hours upon hours following her nose, sniffing everything! So a fenced in yard would be best for her, this way she doesn't get herself lost following smells. Fern is a true hound, a true singer at heart. So this is something to consider if you would like to add this beautiful girl to your home.
