Story
Raj, formerly known as Rags, come to us from a local shelter on his day of euthanasia. He was helped by a team of volunteer to be saved. He is about 10 years old, 95 lbs hound mix. He is sweet and gentle and thankful for a soft place to land with his foster. Raj is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and HW-. He gets along well with dogs but should be fed separately to avoid any resource guarding. Raj sleeps well in his crate on his comfy bed and is just a generally laid back sweet ole guy. He also rides really well in cars and enjoys looking out at the scenery. Raj is sponsored by Vintage Fur Senior Dogs Inc. and his forever home will receive life-long veterinary financial aid. Allowable expenses, up to $600 per year, include pet insurance premiums or “above and beyond” costs including: veterinary treatment for acute or chronic conditions (exams, surgery, therapy), imaging, senior blood panel, dental cleaning/extractions, prescriptions and prescription diets. Please note expenses considered “typical pet costs” such as annual well exams, heartworm preventative, standard pet food or boarding are not reimbursable. You can read more at www.vintagefur.org His adoption donation is $200 and you can apply for him at apply.neshamarescue.org

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › 5 year old Calvin was found as an emaciated stray in Cumberland County; he weighed a mere 38lbs when he arrived at the shelter. He is on his way back to good health and is now about 60 pounds; he's still skinny so needs to continue gaining weight to be at his absolute best. Calvin is super sweet and the biggest goofiest goober on the block! He's good with anyone and everyone, but he really has no clue how big he is. He's very smart and responds quickly to a "no sir" or, simply putting your hands up in a stop position.....which is his foster's daughter's trick to staying upright in the backyard haha! Calvin is the anit-hunting dog, which is likely how he ended up a stray. He startles very easily with any loud noise and will make a fast beeline to the back door to go back inside! So if hunting is your plan, Calvin is not your man. If grilling and chilling floats your boat, Calvin's is definitely the GOAT! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Finney was found as a stray in the road in Virginia. Despite being abandoned and malnourished, she immediately started cuddling and hasn’t stopped since. She is a sweetheart, always looking for pets, belly rubs, and treats. She loves everyone, kids included, but can get nervous around bigger dogs (but that’s getting better!) Now that she’s back to a healthy weight, Finney is ready to find a forever home and a family to call her own.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 7, 2024, 10:45 am
