Story
Meet Brianna! Brianna is a beautiful bluetick Coonhound who came to us as a very pregnant young girl after landing in the local kill shelter. We fell in love with her the moment we saw her and immediately offered to pull her so she could have her puppies in safety. Unfortunately, the shelter chose to spay her and terminate the pregnancy just before her due date. It was heartbreaking, but we were finally able to bring her into our care once her hold period ended. Now about 1 year old and a healthy 50 pounds, Brianna is a sweet, loving girl who is still learning about the good life. She’s housetrained, uses a dog door like a pro, and is starting to come out of her shell. She loves playing with toys, wrestling with other dogs, and spending time with her people. True to her Coonhound roots, she also loves to hunt birds and bark at them with great enthusiasm! She’s mastered “sit,” though she’s still working on keeping all four paws on the ground when she gets excited. Brianna can be a little needy and sometimes gets mild separation anxiety when her favorite person leaves, but she’s never destructive. With patience and love, she’s blossoming into a wonderful companion. This gentle, affectionate bluetick is ready for a patient family who will help her continue growing into the confident dog she’s meant to be. If you have a soft spot for hounds and are looking for a loyal friend, Brianna might just be the girl for you! Adoption fee is 400 which helps cover all of the medical for all of the dogs in the rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped and many have received further treatment for such conditions as lump removal, severe ear infections, dental cleanings, bloodwork, leg injuries, etc.. We do out of state adoptions but require a submitted application, a home visit (sometimes we cannot get this done and then we can not adopt), and the adopter must come to Las Vegas to meet the potential dog(s), possibly adopt, and then drive the dog back. Disclaimer: The SNBRF has the right to deny applications based on our adoption policies established for the consideration of the health, safety, and well-being of the dog. Beagles can have a lifespan of 15-18 years. Therefore, beagles or any other breed who are under 3 years of age will NOT be adopted to anyone over the age of 62. For individuals who are 70 years of age and older, the dogs must be 8 years or older For more information or to submit an adoption application, please visit our website at http://www.southernnevadabeaglerescue.com . We are also on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/SouthernNevadaBeagleRescueFoundation . Come meet and play with our available dogs at Las Vegas area dog parks. Times and locations can be found at http://www.meetup.com/beagles-207/ . Contact us or check our Facebook updates ahead of time if you are interested in meeting a particular dog. All our dogs are in foster homes so not all are available to attend all our park meetups. Our meetup group playdates allow you to socialize your beagle with his/her own breed at dog parks with large fenced areas where the beagles can run and play off-leash.
