Story
Hello friends! Did you click on my picture because of my unique name or because of how cute I am? Maybe both? Well, my cuteness will never change, but you are, of course, free to change my name. Just so you know, my foster family calls me Billy. I really love being in Minnesota where I am fed every day without having to seek it out and where my family wants to give me love and snuggles when I am up for it. I am originally from Alabama where I was found running down the street, a stray with no family or home. A nice older couple stopped and called to me. I wasn’t sure about them at first, but I jumped in the back of their car and they took me to a shelter. Now I’m in Minnesota living with two resident dogs, and four to six humans - depending on if the college boys are home. They have a nice fenced-in yard in which I like to play. I love to chase after the ball if you throw it for me. I may bring it back to you, or I may decide to lie down and hold it in my paws. I never had toys before coming to Minnesota, and if I give it back to my human, I wonder if I will still get to play with it. Learning to trust is something I am working on right now. I do trust most of the humans in my house, but sometimes if the humans make sudden or loud movements, I run away. One of the teenagers in the house is tall and can be loud; I am still kind of scared of him. However, I am not scared of the thing my human calls a vacuum. Weird, huh? Speaking of vacuums, I am a bit of a vacuum myself, in terms of dog food that is (not other things I shouldn’t get into). My foster mama gives me my meals, and I eat it all up, like a vacuum. I’m so happy to have food, shelter, and someone taking such good care of me. I have a bed to sleep on in a nice kennel. I sometimes go in the kennel to sleep or chew on a bone all on my own. Other times, my foster family has me go in when they go “night-night” or “bye-bye”. I am very good in my kennel because I know I am safe and loved. I wasn’t sure about these people at first, but I am slowly warming up to them. It takes some time for me to trust, but trust I will if you promise to feed me, love me, give me treats, pet me, give me treats, and be patient with me. (I really like treats!) --------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.Adoption Fee - $400To apply for this pup, please submit an Adoption Application at http://warriordogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application/
