Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org Meet Cindy Lou - Your Future Tail Wagging Bundle of Joy💛 At just one year old (born 2/24/25) and 70 pounds of pure love, CindyLou somehow manages to be both a big dog and a professional cuddler. Seriously—she missed the memo that large dogs are supposed to take up space. Cindy prefers to gently lean into you like she’s trying to become a part of you. Velcro? More like super glue with a heartbeat. CindyLou is the definition of easygoing. She gets along beautifully with dogs of all sizes, politely ignores barn cats (yes, ignores them… we were shocked too), and has zero interest in bothering horses. She’s basically the Switzerland of the animal world—neutral, peaceful, and minding her business. She would do great with a canine sibling that is looking for a BFF to play, snuggle and share life with. She’s learning her “sit” like a champ, walks nicely on leash, and stays close when off-leash like your soft, slightly oversized shadow. Her hobbies include strolls, quiet companionship, and perfecting the art of doing absolutely nothing… right next to you. Cindy is low-to-medium energy, which means she’s not here to train for a marathon—but she will happily accompany you on a neighborhood stroll or a hiking trail and then clock in for a full shift of couch supervision. She is slightly on the wider side and could use a few more of those strolls, her ideal weight should be more around 60lbs. Bonus: she’s incredibly quiet and wonderfully well-mannered. No drama, no chaos—just vibes. The only thing missing from CindyLou’s life? A home of her own. She’s spent her entire puppyhood in rescue, patiently waiting for someone to see just how special she is. And trust us—once she leans into you, you’ll get it. Story
Winny is a sweet and gentle 7-year-old Black and Tan Coonhound lady. After stops at a shelter and foster care, Winny is getting her groove back and is ready to find her new forever home! Winny is loving and devoted and enjoys naps on the couch and a solid 10 hours of sleep a night (ideally, on your bed). She is reliably potty-trained, and communicates with a unique blend of whimpers & sighs, along with a healthy dose of her infamous side-eye. Winny is not a big barker unless there’s something urgent going on, or if you’ve left something delicious on the counter (not recommended). Winny is non-reactive and relatively indifferent to dogs and kids, and she's just too big for the small kids. She’s a bit too interested in cats to live with them. Adults are her jam, and once you make it into her inner circle, you will enjoy how loving, loyal, and truly hilarious she is. She is true to her hound roots and is very food-motivated, so it has been easy to teach her new tricks! She has already mastered sit and shake, and has now added lay down and dance to her repertoire. She loves to spend time outside and might enjoy a fenced in backyard. She’s up for some slow and leisurely walking, usually a route of her choosing, but sniffing is her main priority (although she will easily be persuaded to continue the walk with a bite of cucumber, carrot, or a blueberry). She’s a big girl at ~96 lbs so will need a grown-up walking partner. Winny looks gorgeous after her successful bilateral cherry-eye repair surgery thanks to Ruff Start. She will be on an ongoing regimen of relatively low-cost thyroid and allergy medication, but is good about taking her pills. Now that she’s on the right meds, we expect her weight to drop (80 pounds sounds like a good target weight) and her energy to increase. Winny does display some tendency toward being anxious about being left alone, but is not destructive with it and may need some gentle reprogramming and assurance that her people will return. Winny is a bit of a homebody who loves to be with her people, but she has done well on a few outings. She likes to be included! She can be on her own for a few hours, but doesn’t love it. She might thrive with the company of another older, calm dog to keep her company. If your couch and bed are a bit cold and have room for this sweet gal, Winny would love to be your companion.

Libby is a very Sweet girl who loves to be loved! Libby enjoys using her Beagle nose to sniff around my fenced backyard on nice days when I am doing yard work. She also enjoys the company of other dogs as well and she will bark in excitement when the other dogs are in a game of chase. Libby is doing well with her housetraining being on a schedule. She's used a crate before, but has gotten to have free run and is a good girl about it. She walks nice on a leash and rides nice in the car. Libby is very treat motivated as treats are one of her favorite things! Libby is a Sweetheart who would like a fenced backyard and another canine low to moderate energy level or family members that will spend time with her along with treats of course!

Hi! My name is Diamond Lil, and I'm from Minnnesota! Diamond Lil is the sweetest pup. She has playful puppy moments, but also seems to be an old soul. She enjoys getting cozy and loves to cuddle next to you. She’s is timid and new things can be a little scary, so she would do best in more of a calm environment. We are working on building her confidence, and she is making progress! She prefers slow intros, especially with men and other animals, but once she feels comfortable, she’ll cozy right up and greet you with the cutest wiggle butt! She walks well on a leash and loves car rides. She sleeps well in her kennel at night, and spends the day in the kennel. She would thrive with a proper routine and consistent schedule.
