Story
This poor sweet puppy was picked up by animal control and taken to a high kill shelter here in our area. She was on a 7 day stray hold and no one came for her so we got her out right away. She is very sweet but a little unsure. She is also very skinny. We have taken her to the vet and she is UTD on vaccines and has been wormed. Now we will give her a couple of weeks to get stronger, gain some weight which shouldn't be hard because she has a great appetite and get happy and confident! When June Bug feels better we will get her spayed and then she can go to her new, loving forever home. She is between 5 and 5 1/2 months weighs 24 lbs. We have listed her as both Bloodhound and Black and Tan coonhound because at this point we are not sure which she is but we feel certain she is purebred. Story
This boy was part of a neglect/ hoarding case. He is very friendly… with everything! He likes people, kids, either dogs…..not sure on cats but we’re sure he would do well. He has a wonderful personality, he does not need to be in charge. He does well with other dogs and is good on a leash. He loved everyone at an adoption event, he does not meet a stranger!! He is a super good boy who is ready to finally find a home of his own. He will need housetraining but we think he does have some training already. He listens well, just needs some work on manners. He does jump when excited so beware smaller kids. He would do well with a yard or plenty of exercise. An active family would be best as he does not like to sit still when around people, he’s just too excited and happy. He is ready to find his own energetic family.

Welcome Zeus to CCPAL Foster Program. Zeus is a 18-month old 70 pound Plot Hound/Medium Terrier blend dog. He was abandonded by his owners when they moved and left him at the house they moved from. He was tied up to the porch. Good Samaritans spotted him and were feeding him and giving him water until they realized the owners weren’t coming back. Zeus is now in foster home waiting for his new forever home. He is great on a leash and not leash reactive. He is good in a crate and he likes car rides. He is attentive, smart and potty trained. He is overall a wonderful dog and is not food aggressive or reactive with his bowl. He would make a wonderful outdoor enthusiast a great companion. He would make a perfect man dog. He looks tough but he is not at all how he looks. He would make a great family dog if the man works out of the house. His looks would make the family feel secure even if he loves everyone. He is a lower shedding dog with a nice soft coat. He is healthy, vaccinated and neutered. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200.
