Story
Meet Jack: Your Loyal and Loving Companion**Jack is a 42-pound bundle of joy, believed to be around 18 months old. This handsome Plott Hound mix, with his striking brindle coat, is as sweet as he is playful. Jack adores people of all ages and is great with kids and other dogs. He loves to play chase with his canine pals for hours, but he’s also a pro at relaxing with a long nap afterward. While Jack hasn’t been tested with cats yet, he’s shown no interest in chasing birds or rabbits.Jack thrives on affection and companionship. He’s a little cautious at first, but warms up quickly and will stick to you like glue once he trusts you. Jack is comfortable in a crate and walks wonderfully on a leash without pulling. He knows “sit” and is eager to please.Jack is a moderate-energy dog who loves to play but also values his downtime. He’s cautious in the car but rides well. He’s not food aggressive and tends to be submissive with bigger dogs.Could Jack be the perfect addition to your family? Come meet him and find out!IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.January 24, 2025, 11:29 am

Story
- Loves people and activity and likes to be at the center of whatever's going on - Total goofball who loves toys and being silly - Smart boy who knows sit- Loves going on walks and does best with a harness- Loves to learn and has great focus - especially if you have treats - so would be a lot of fun to train- Tends to be a linebacker-type player with other dogs, which some dogs may not appreciate; will likely do best with a select group of rough-and-tumble dog friends with a similar play style (dog intro recommended) - Prefers to explore and do their own thing here in the shelter, but will likely open up more once they're in a home environment and have had time to decompress- Can do well with dogs and would probably love having a dog friend, but may do best with a slow introduction- Young, noisy or busy children can be too much for them (mature home recommended)- All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for age- The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, and not breed label Primary Color: Brindle Weight: 48 Age: 4yrs 1mths 2wks

Story
Meet Daisy Bay! She is a 4 year old 100% blue tick coonhound. She weighs 120 lbs. She is a sweet girl and loves to play! Although she is not aware of her size and can that can be dangerous for young children and smaller individuals. She is up to date on all shots and vaccines. She loves snacks and treats. She has never been much of a house dog and has always been kept outside but when she is inside there has never been a problem! She does have a large voice that she loves to use. But she deserves so much more than we can give at this point in time
