Temperament: Protective. Independent enough to require leash or fenced yard. Trained in: Leave it, Sit, Down, Go to bed, Wait, Touch. House trained. Likes: Walks, playing with toys, other dogs, chewing ice cubes. Dislikes: Strangers, Cats (other small animals I might consider prey). Unknown: Kids Medical: Heartworm Positive (ongoing sponsored treatment), treated for Rabies and hookworm 2024. ----------------------Roy was found by the side of highway 66 in central Florida. He was brought to Naples; where he was subjected to the rigorous training of PetSmart! He advanced through basic into intermediate training where he graduated top of his class. Due to medical issues with family overseas, we have decided to move, making it very difficult to bring our boy, Roy. While Roy enjoys the company of his canine friends, he's not a fan of cats or other small animals (he might consider them prey). He's wary of strangers, which means he'll make a fantastic watchdog for the right person or family.

Story
So happy we were able to save Bo . As of this morning he had no chance but we were able to find a foster at the last minute. This is a very special breed and not common here in Florida. They are not for everyone and certainly not if you live in a condo. Needs a home and some land. He is a Treeing Walker Coonhound. He was a stray and went unclaimed. He was stressed in the kennel and needed to get out. His weight is 42LBS. Good health and a great heart!! He is fine with other dogs, just like to sniff around and around. What a nose!!!!!!! He is now in foster care in the country and that is great for him. He loves it!! He loves to ride on the tractor and loves to go after everything who is moving!! He is a great boy... If you are worry about rats he will take care of them. Great hunting dog. We know that dogs in shelter are very stressed and only a few of them actually make it to adoption. Bo was tested and had no issues in the beginning. just needs a hand. Very handsome dog!! if you would like to meet him and adopt him please fill out the application online. His adoption fee is $200. His adoption fee will go toward training.
