Our medical team does everything they can to ensure the health of our dogs before they are placed up for adoption, which includes (but is not limited to): - Vaccinations against Parvovirus, Distemper, Adenovirus and Parainfluenza (all dogs have at least 2 of these vaccines (value $60+), puppies at least 3 (value $90+)) - Vaccination against Bordetella and Leptospirosis (value $40+) - Vaccination against Rabies (dogs 5+ months; value $20+) - Test (Idexx Snap 4Dx) for Heartworm, Lyme's disease, Anaplasmosis and Ehrlichiosis (for adult dogs; value $60+) - Recent full panel blood test (value $150+) for all adult dogs - Micro-chip with life long free registration (value $50+) - Deworming (roundworms, hookworms, whipworms and tapeworms; value $20+) - Treatment with Bravecto against fleas and ticks (value $50+) Of course, ALL our dogs are spayed or neutered before going to their new home. Story
we rescued palmer in january 2022 from a local no-kill shelter. she is a very sweet, loyal, protective, active, & loving dog. we have never had any issues with her besides not being leash trained. she has never nipped/bit or growled at either of our children (we have a 2.5 year old & 9 month old). she is truly great with both of them! she has never had any issues with dogs at doggy daycare & when we trained her in 2023, she was very obedient & responsive to the trainer. however, as our lifestyle has changed with 2 young kids, we are not able to give her the lifestyle she requires. once she trusts you, she will protect you til the day she dies. unfortunately, she did bite a young kid who ran up to her at the park. it was completely out of her character to do that to a human. from then on, we have decided that she needs to be re-homed. beside her bite incident, she has never shown aggression towards children. she does it require introduction to new people.
