Marcy is a friendly, cuddly, lively 1-year-old dog who makes friends with everyone she meets. She was adopted from a shelter. She would do best with a family with an active lifestyle who can take her on plenty of walks and give her lots of cuddles. She's a good jumper, so if you have a fenced backyard, it should be a high one. She loves her people, and will want to be around you or another dog as much as possible. She is used to being an indoor dog and allowed on furniture, and will get sad and destructive if neglected. She does well with all other dogs, and has lived with a small child, who she is gentle with. She can get a little excited and get the"zoomies" and run around a lot, so she needs a chance to get that energy out. You may wake up to her spooning you in bed. She is never aggressive, though she may bark occasionally at a squirrel. She has excellent tracking instincts and would enjoy work as a hunting companion. She's just about the sweetest dog you'll ever meet.

I adopted Maggie when I lived in a home with large back yard. As a single father, I had to move immediately move to a condo and deal with my small children simultaneously. Maggie did not adjust well to the move, but I cannot give her the attention and time she deserves. My job’s demands and children prevent me from assisting her needs. A loving dog, but still a puppy with lots of energy and adventurous spirit. Loves to snuggle on the couch. Upon adoption, I will provide a crate, food dish, toys and any food for free.

So the good and the not so good but honest: The Good: She is brilliant and loving and creative and fun! She does her best to make her owner happy! I’ve taught her several tricks as well as a “cue” when she needs to “go potty” (she understands). So if you see her pacing with her purple ring toy it’s time to go! She knows sit, paw, heel, (walking manners depend on her energy level that day), down, and we are rolling over occasionally and staying. The Bad: Zoey has been adopted before. She needs an experienced trainer and I would recommend professional help. I have worked and worked with her tirelessly to try and train her reactivity to other dogs. It is her fatal flaw! She will yell and pull at other dogs. I’ve done all I can afford to do… I have to relocate to another state for work and have nowhere for her to live during the transition. If you’re very experienced with reactivity/ training, she is a dream come true.

Despite being placed on the euthanasia list due to limited space and no reclaim, Sami's fate took a positive turn when she was transferred to our rescue. Sami is a joy to walk, settles well in her kennel, adores toys and affection, and is an absolute love bug. Not only is she friendly with both dogs and cats, but she also enjoys playful interactions with them. The mystery of how Sami ended up abandoned is perplexing, but what's clear is that this sweetheart is in need of a forever family committed to providing her the love and care she deserves.
