Silly Goose is sweet, gentle, loves the water, being outside, and loves being around the people he cares about most. Maybe it’s his sweet eyes that look at you with so much love in them, his cute floppy ears when they perk up or his radiating smile. Goose is a Black Mouth Cur mix approximately just under 2 years old and currently weighs 48 lbs and is fully grown! He is very dog friendly and did amazing meeting all of the dogs we introduced him too. He has the playfulness to play for short bursts with the other dogs but also knows when to take breaks. He is very tolerant and is more of a submissive fella. When he’s not playing with his doggy friends, you’ll typically find him sitting in the back watching the other dogs play in the yard, out exploring and taking in the fresh air, chilling in the pool/pond, or loving on his humans. He has a really nice calming demeanor about him and a great balanced energy that could match a variety of different households. He would do great in home with a backyard where he can sunbathe and roll around in the grass. I do see Goose living his best life out in the country exploring with his people, swimming in the pond, catching butterflies with the kids, and sitting with you on the back porch watching the sunset. Goose is always a bit shy at first but once he knows you’re his person he opens up quickly. Goose has done well in his foster home in the crate and is potty trained. He has also lived with other dogs in the foster home and did great! Goose will need someone willing to help him polish his leash skills and continue reinforcing his basic manners. He is very treat motivated which will make training a breeze. He is not jumpy or mouthy and is very tolerant of physical touch. We believe he would make a great family dog with kids. Shadow is a 3-year-old, 60-pound Curr and German Shepherd mix with a HUGE smile and a tail that never stops wagging! This sweet and snugly boy lives up to his name—he'll happily follow you around, sticking close by your side as your loyal companion. Shadow's FAVORITE place is upside down in your lap or arms. It doesn't matter if you are outside in the yard or on a couch. Shadow loves to be the center of your world, and we believe he deserves it! Shadow's love for people extends to kids too. He is ever so friendly, and cuddly with kids of all ages. He doesn't knock them down, but might just flip right over for a belly rub. We know Shadow would make a great family dog, just save a couch cushion of him to snuggle in to. Shadow is a pro at walking on a leash and enjoys exploring the world with you. He's also a social butterfly who gets along great with other dogs, both big and small, making friends wherever he goes. Ryan here has the bounciest ears I have seen to date! He can best be described as happy-go-lucky! He just exudes happiness and if he had needed a name I would have suggesting Sunny because he is a little sunshine soul. He is so friendly, great kids and other dogs and is respectful of cats. Oh, almost forgot- he likes the water and has basic leash skills too! So that hike to that one waterfall- he is in! If you want to see him in action take a few minutes to watch his video, then come back and read more but by then you will likely be in love! Ryan is an adorable 39 lbs at an estimated 1 year old. So far he is giving itty-bitty shepherd/ black mouth cure mix and he isn’t expected to get much bigger. In rescue, age and breed are observations, never guarantees, but Ryan has some cute shepherd like features with a playful, friendly personality. Ryan was introduced to a variety of dogs and was friendly and playful with them all, while respecting that not all dogs are eager to play. The most natural connection being with a similar aged playful dog. He would absolutely love to have a canine playmate in his forever home. His love of other dogs doesn’t take away from his connection with people. He adores people and is a friend from the start. On top of all his wonderful traits, Ryan is fortunate to be spending his days before adoption in a loving foster home with kids and other dogs. This is so important to share because of the amazing headstart it gives them to being a dog with house manners and a familiarity with the rhythm of a busy home. His foster family has shared that he was an easy addition to their home and has taken to both home and crate training very well, with no accidents in two weeks. Thanks to size and personality, Ryan has apartment/condo potential but would love a yard for bouncing around and playing with his toys. An ideal home can look like a lot of things with Ryan, he is ready to fit right in! When we introduced Ryan to our house cat he was respectful of the cats space, never pulling to get to him or eager to chase. From what we have seen, we believe Ryan could peacefully live with a feline friend. Ryan has basic leash skills but will benefit from continued leash work, socialization, and adventures to ensure he can build on that great base. His attentive nature to people and intelligence will likely translate into a fast learning and obedient dog.
