Story
Rosie was once so small… she could fit in a cup. One of eight tiny souls found wandering the streets of Morris County in Texas in 2023 —discarded, forgotten, but not invisible. Because Cresta & Cory chose to care, Rosie didn’t just survive… she was loved. 🤍 Raised on a farm, surrounded by cows, donkeys, and open skies, she grew into something beautiful—a confident, joyful, deeply loving girl who still carries that same gentle heart. Today, Rosie is 2 years and 7 months old and 48.5 lbs of loyalty, softness, and quiet hope. She’ll tug at your pant leg just to say, “I’m here… choose me.” She’s spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, and wonderful with other dogs. She loves her walks, her playtime, and most of all… being close to her person. Her brother Rowdy and Rosie are still waiting… Rosie waits not for just any home—for her person. The one who will see past her past… and give her the forever she has always deserved. 🏡✨ Rosie isn’t just looking for a home… she’s ready to be someone’s heart dog. 💛🐾 NETRO Rescuing Love

Story
We met Boone on a quiet day in Titus County. No one looking for him. No one calling his name. Just a dog… wandering. Robin found him on 02/23 and gave him something he may not have had in a long time— A place to exhale. Boone didn’t come with a story we could trace. But his eyes… they told us enough. Soulful. Grateful. Like he couldn’t quite believe he was safe. We later found out Boone was microchipped. So we called. Hoping for relief. Hoping someone was missing him. But instead, we heard the words no dog should ever have to carry— “We don’t want him anymore.” And just like that… his story made sense. At first, he held onto his food a little tighter. Not out of aggression— but out of fear that it might disappear. Because somewhere along the way… it probably did. But day by day, something changed. He’s learning. Learning that the bowl will be full again. That no one is coming to take it away. That there is enough now. And once he started to believe that… we got to see who Boone really is. A good boy. A gentle soul. A quiet presence that just wants to be near you. He sits and watches as baby squirrels are fed— calm, curious, peaceful. He’s been tested with cats (and yes… he’s especially interested in their butts 🤣), and he’s done well. Squirrels? Pigs? He’s met them too. Just Boone… taking in the world one soft moment at a time. Boone is about 5 years old. And he is heartworm positive. But he is worth it. He’s already done the hard part— surviving, waiting, learning to trust again. Now he just needs someone to see him. To choose him. Because Boone… still believes in people. Even after being told he wasn’t wanted. 💛🐾 NETRO – Rescuing Love

Story
My name is Jaxon, and when I first came to the shelter with my sister Miya, I was scared of everything, especially people. I was also so skinny that every bone in my little body could be counted. The world felt big and frightening, and I shut down completely. When someone tried to come close to me, I was quick to react because I didn’t know any other way to protect myself. But the people here didn’t give up on me. They were patient, gentle, and showed me kindness every single day. Slowly, I started to learn that not all humans are scary. Some of them just want to help. Little by little, the scared boy I once was began to change. I started to open up, and the fear in my heart began to fade. Now I’m learning how to trust, how to play, and how to show the kindness that was always inside of me. I’ve come such a long way from the frightened, frail dog who first arrived. Now I shine a little brighter, and I’m ready to share my heart with someone who will love me forever. All I need is a patient home and a person who will keep showing me the kindness that helped me become the dog I am today. Walks great on a leash. Can be shy when doing new things, but quickly relaxes.
