Bane came to us from a shelter, and he’s a very sweet, energetic dog who loves to play. He is 1 year and 3 months old. While he gets along with other animals (dogs and cats) and was raised around them, we recommend a single-pet home. Bane can be a bit dominant and tends to be very attached and possessive of his people, so he’ll do best as the only pet where he can have all the attention he craves.

Charity is a super sweet pup who does well with children. She does have crate reactivity to other dogs and needs slow introductions. Charity loves getting pets more than anything. Generally easy going with humans. She's been to a trainer for this and has been able to reduce her reactivity and even be walked with other dogs peacefully. Charity and two others came from east Texas where a duo of rescuers saved her from the fate of dogs in small towns with limited animal control services. They were found starving on the streets, so Charity does struggle with food aggresive tendancies (towards other dogs, but no issues seen with humans.) She is very smart and human attentive. Charity needs a 6 ft tall privacy fence due to her fence jumping capabilities. She should be the only pet in the home. She has been around children aged 1-17. She may unintentionally knock smaller children over but generally does well with kids. She is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed. She has been on monthly heartworm preventative. ##1666556##

Meet Miss Mellow! She is an eight month old Black Mouth Cur/Basenji mix, and she weighs about 40 lbs. Full disclosure, her name doesn't actually fit her personality. Mellow is a very happy pup that has an enthusiasm for life! She loves wrestling and playing chase with other dogs, and exploring the backyard with nose to the ground. She has unique markings with a black stripe running down her back to the end of her tail. She is one of four puppies that were abandoned on the side of the road in a locked carrier, in the heat of last July! The four puppies survived (thanks to a caring person who took them to a vet for life saving treatment). Be sure to check out the photo of all four pups when they first arrived, and weighed about 6 lbs. Two of those puppies have been adopted, but Mellow is still waiting, and so is her brother Buttons. Mellow is housetrained, walks well on leash, and rides well in the car. She may be a little too rambunctious for very young kids, but she should be fine with kids over the age of 6. Couch time with foster mom while she is watching TV (I sometimes watch too!) Greeting new people (I don't think I have ever met a stranger).
