Story

Meet Penny! This sweet girl is about 1.5 years old and is said to be a hound mix. She is looking for a loving home with plenty of space to run! Penny was rescued in March 2024 from Galveston County Animal Resource Center. She is spayed and up to date on all of her vaccines. She has the biggest heart and LOVES her cuddles. She’s an anxious girl, so meeting new people and thunderstorms are pretty scary! Most of all, she hates to be away from her family. When comfortable, Penny loves to play! Sprinting through the yard and tug-of-war are her favorites. Penny is in search of a loving home with a yard she can call her own. Apartment life isn’t her favorite! She is a high energy dog, so adequate enrichment and exercise are essential. Penny is great with other friendly dogs, but is weary about most cats. Strangers tend to frighten her, but her trust can be gained. She is bigger than she thinks and is pretty clumsy, but settles down fairly quickly.
